Our first patented technology is Kraken, Africa\u2019s first industrial oil palm nut processor compatible with smallholder varieties. We 1. aggregate smallholder crops, 2. Process them with Kraken, and sell high-quality vegetable oil to Consumer Brands.<\/p>\n<p>80% of oil palm supply comes from smallholders and Kraken can process 100 metric tons per day, which is 200X faster than the predominant technology employed. Releaf is led by Ikenna Nzewi and Uzo Ayogu, who have been friends and co-founders since college at Yale and Duke, respectively. Releaf is backed by Y Combinator, Kepple Africa, Bill Gates&#8217; Breakthrough Energy, Samurai Incubate, amongst numerous HNIs including Justin Kan, Stephen Pagliuca, Iyin Aboyeji, and Jeff Ubben. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Safety and Security Supervisor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Uyo, Akwa Ibom<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Safety and Security Supervisor will concentrate on ensuring that structures and systems for safety and security management are in place and properly utilized.<\/li>\n<li>You will provide direction and technical support in developing and maintaining Releaf\u2019s context-specific field safety and security plans.<\/li>\n<li>This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global team, use new technologies that will enable us to industrialize food processing in Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise security guards activities at the gate and carry out constant patrol of the site.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate 24hrs security brief with guards and Civil Defence officers at the beginning of every shift<\/li>\n<li>Take the lead to implement access control procedures and enforce compliance<\/li>\n<li>Monitor supplies of raw material, cracked palm kernel (P2) and 3rd party supplied cracked palm kernel (3P2) and keep trackable records for reference to prevent theft.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures accurate weighing of supplies of all inbound and load outbound<\/li>\n<li>Monitors effectiveness of existing physical security measures including cameras and lighting.<\/li>\n<li>Implement HSE policies and procedures to maintain accident free site<\/li>\n<li>Continuously communicate behavioral based safety<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accident-free workplace<\/li>\n<li>Track all safety incidence on site and communicate control measures<\/li>\n<li>Schedule weekly HSE meeting to track and report safety improvement progress<\/li>\n<li>Conduct daily safety toolbox with troopers<\/li>\n<li>Enforce adherence to safe work culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc Degree or its equivalent in Safety Management, Engineering or relevant certification<\/li>\n<li>Possess a minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in relevant roles<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask and work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong ownership and problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and google apps is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key results:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Number of zero safety and security incident recorded on site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong><br \/>\nN200,000 &#8211; N300,00 Monthly.<\/p>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Resume to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:chi@releaf.ng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chi@releaf.ng<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><b>Application<\/b><strong>\u00a0Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\n28th November, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Releaf invents both financial and food processing technology to increase smallholder harvest yields and create high-quality raw material supply chains for African Consumer Brands, starting in the $3B Nigerian vegetable&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10165,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[62],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Releaf Available Job Opportunity - Apply Now!
