Extended working hours. Deal with a lot of paper work Minimum qualification is 2.2 or its equivalent<\/p>\n<p>Candidate will possess 3 years post NYSC experience in a Finance function; Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and Experience in using an ERP system is desirable.<\/p>\n<p>Financial Operations Analysts (Fixed Assets)<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Location<\/strong>: Port Harcourt<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Generic<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyze ageing of all Balance Sheet accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze transactions posted into IFS to ensure proper classification and correction.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze general Ledger transactions (Capex, Opex and Revenue).<\/li>\n<li>Provide all schedules and reports (including age analysis, assets movement, etc).<\/li>\n<li>Provide supporting documents, records and schedules to meet audit and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Secure company assets.<\/li>\n<li>Implement finance policies, processes and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with established internal controls.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with MTN PPP\u2019s, IFRS, IAS and GAAP in processing of transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver all month end deliverables within the monthly reporting timelines.<\/li>\n<li>Process account payables and receivables.<\/li>\n<li>Raise and post journal vouchers and other financial transactions in the ERP system.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare trend analysis of Capex, Opex and Revenue transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare all General Ledger\/Sub- ledger Accounts reconciliation.<\/li>\n<li>Resolve all reconciling items promptly.<\/li>\n<li>Educate staff on finance related policies and ensure compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain departmental filing system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Specific<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyze additions for upload into Asset register and depreciation groups.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proceeds on disposed assets are adequately remitted and recorded appropriately.<\/li>\n<li>Provide tax unit with detail analysis of disposed assets for capital gains tax purposes and deferred tax reversal.<\/li>\n<li>Record disposals and movements in fixed asset register.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out periodic verification of company\u2019s fixed assets.<\/li>\n<li>Process cash transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze divisional cash floats for adequacy.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze vendor\/staff sub-ledgers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure efficient reimbursement of the fuel deposit.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out periodic spot checks of company\u2019s cash floats.<\/li>\n<li>Compute Withholding Tax deductions on vendors\u2019 payments.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze withholding tax (\\WHT) deductions for remittance.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze PO\u2019s received but not yet invoiced.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate receipt of Purchase Orders on IFS by user departments.<\/li>\n<li>Manage customer\/vendor relationships (including response to queries).<\/li>\n<li>Prompt update of databases.<\/li>\n<li>Post Inter-company transactions and assist in inter-company relationship management.<\/li>\n<li>First-line review of departmental accrual submissions.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor network traffic and highlight exceptions noted.<\/li>\n<li>Compute quarterly NCC levy.<\/li>\n<li>Compute doubtful debt provision.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare revenue forecast promptly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apply directly on MTN website<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MTN Nigeria is recruiting for a\u00a0Financial Operations Analyst (Fixed Asset) to be based in their Port harcourt office The ideal candidate will have a B.Sc.\/HND in any discipline, but a&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":false,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[28],"tags":[130],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
