We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Legal and Compliance Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Isolo, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Sector:<\/strong> Manufacturing (FMCG)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We&#8217;re currently recruiting for a Legal &amp; Compliance head who&#8217;ll provide legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks.<\/li>\n<li>She will also be responsible for managing the Manufacturing compliance process from legal perspective and coordinate all legal activities in concert with the local laws and other statutory body\u2019s requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide leadership to the legal team, review and advise on all legal matters including ongoing cases as asked.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with BUs \/ depts to ensure that all legal risks are identified and appropriate actions taken.<\/li>\n<li>Provide and interpret legal information and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff.<\/li>\n<li>Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures .<\/li>\n<li>Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that these are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements of all group companies.<\/li>\n<li>Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers .<\/li>\n<li>Continuously monitor and ensure compliance with statutory obligations and advise the management accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>Review all contracts and other documents where the Company has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the management\u2019s attention.<\/li>\n<li>Arbitration &amp; Mediation services<\/li>\n<li>Organise and prepare agendas and papers for board meetings, committees and annual general meetings (AGMs).<\/li>\n<li>Monitor changes in relevant legislation, dividends, share option, pension scheme, code of conduct, ethical standards, doucment safety and security.<\/li>\n<li>Legal &amp; Secretarial risk assessment and mitigation for all group companies and territories where group operates.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Police and other relevant agencies on issues<\/li>\n<li>Any other responsbilty or task assigned by the Management from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BL \/ LLB Degree<\/li>\n<li>8 years+ as a Legal and Compliance Executive or Manager in an FMCG or Manufacturing company.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant experience in handling Labour related issues<\/li>\n<li>Managed Legal Secreterial duties.<\/li>\n<li>Thorough with local regulations and laws across all area&#8217;s under scope.<\/li>\n<li>LLM or CIPMN is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Female Preferred for gender balance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:cv@ascentech.com.ng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cv@ascentech.com.ng<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\n20th December, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Only qualified candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ascentech Services Limited is a full-fledged Human Resource Solution Provider incorporated in 2013 with its Head Office in Lagos, Nigeria.
