We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Senior Gender &amp; Inclusion Advisor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Job ID:<\/strong> 2022-2404<br \/>\n<strong>Category:<\/strong> Program Management<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> the Chief of Party.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development and in close partnership with federal partners and select Nigeria States (designated as legacy [Bauchi and Sokoto], launching and technical assistance), the five-year Leveraging Education Assistance Resources in Nigeria (LEARN) project will support sustainable improvements in reading outcomes for first and second grade pupils.<\/li>\n<li>The goal of LEARN is to strengthen and scale early grade reading (EGR) best practice by ensuring that standards-based, context-appropriate assessment, materials, training, and administrative supports needed to improve literacy skills for P1-2 pupils are embedded within the federal policy, funding, and monitoring frameworks, and state and local authorities have the implementation protocols, capacity, and resources to carry out and sustain standards-based, data-driven EGR reform.<\/li>\n<li>The project objective is to instill ownership in and build capacity of school-community, local, state, and federal systems to establish a base for adequate, consistent data-driven funding, monitoring and performance that increase the equity, inclusion, and wellbeing necessary to achieve sustained EGR gains. LEARN will therefore be building on lessons learned from prior Nigeria reading programs to introduce a flexible, cost- efficient EGR intervention model that can be tailored to state contexts<em>.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Senior Gender &amp; Inclusion Advisor\u00a0will\u00a0lead role improving the quality and relevance of GESI activities related to activities in the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide guidance on gender and social inclusion across project objectives and activities. Provide analysis on gender and social inclusion.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a robust GESI strategy with specific recommendations tailored to project objectives; identify activity level gender and inclusion related indicators.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct staff and partner training sessions tailored to how proposed interventions strengthen project objectives and results.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and engage relevant local stakeholders to support GESI work and assist in socializing interventions. Facilitate GESI analysis and maintain ongoing monitoring and evaluation of gender focused initiatives and activities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure project\u2019s gender equality and social inclusion strategy is implemented in compliance with project work plan and client expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Point of contact for the project on GESI and represent the project in related activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Education, Inclusive Education, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>At least eight (8) years\u2019 experience relevant to this position required, with at least five in donor-funded gender programming.<\/li>\n<li>At least four years of direct supervisory experience required.<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience organizing, implementing, and reporting on GESI education indicators.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with GESI and education programming.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated excellence in communications and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Political savvy to interact effectively with numerous ministry institutions and senior-level national and subnational-level government officials.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work in complex, politically charged environments, across different cultures and communities, and manage diverse teams to deliver impact within agreed upon timelines.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in written and spoken English required.<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Experience &amp; Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in similar role.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience directly and indirectly supervising and managing staff and teams.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with a USAID-funded or other international organization implementing a program operating in insecure areas is desired.<\/li>\n<li>Strong ability to deploy and use various forms of tracking tools.<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent record keeping, and documentation skills are required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hq-creative.icims.com\/jobs\/2404\/senior-gender-%26-inclusion-advisor\/job?mode=job&amp;iis=Job%2BBoard&amp;iisn=LinkedIn&amp;mobile=false&amp;width=1060&amp;height=500&amp;bga=true&amp;needsRedirect=false&amp;jan1offset=60&amp;jun1offset=120\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\nNot Specified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Creative Associates International provides outstanding, on-the-ground development services and forges partnerships to deliver sustainable solutions to global challenges.
