We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Community Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Yaba, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for a Community Manager to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate should be a great communicator who is skilled at managing communities both physically and digitally.<\/li>\n<li>The role requires you to be a creative, out-of-the-box, solutions-driven thinker, and have the ability to inspire and motivate.<\/li>\n<li>He\/she will be the voice and town-crier of the community both internally and externally and will manage all community communication and events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The role has 3 main components:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Manage the internal community of current students and alumni:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take ownership of our Student and Alumni Groups.<\/li>\n<li>Drive engagement and gather feedback among Students, Facilitators, and Alumni<\/li>\n<li>Drive and coordinate the pipeline for prospective students, student sponsorship, and partnerships.<\/li>\n<li>Act as the intermediate between the community and the management.<\/li>\n<li>Support the ongoing success of students and alumni through various activities.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and manage mentorship programs.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and manage mentorship programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Manage all community events:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan and coordinate internal community events to engage the community<\/li>\n<li>Keep updated on and identify ecosystem events and drive participation of the community<\/li>\n<li>Drive brand thought leadership and exposure to the ecosystem by planning and coordinating external events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Manage Semicolon\u2019s social media presence:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the social media manager in management of Semicolon\u2019s social media platforms and generating social content that will drive communications.<\/li>\n<li>Create social content that reflects the community and brand objective and purpose through campaigns that align with the marketing strategy<\/li>\n<li>Track, and conduct sentiment and overall review of Semicolon on social media platforms<\/li>\n<li>Keep updated on industry-related trends on and find opportunities to engage in the conversation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc in Marketing or a relevant field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience, at least, 1 year as a community manager (especially offline)<\/li>\n<li>Be vibrant and energetic<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of social media management with a proven track record.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in planning and launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with social media management for brands<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and ability to multitask.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong Communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Emotional Intelligence<\/li>\n<li>People Skills<\/li>\n<li>Project management<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and evaluation skills<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation<\/li>\n<li>Customer service.<\/li>\n<li>Great Influencer.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to moderate online and offline conversations within our community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Integrity.<\/li>\n<li>Maturity.<\/li>\n<li>Proactive.<\/li>\n<li>Confident.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply:<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:hr.semicolonafrica@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hr.semicolonafrica@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\n31st January, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Semicolon Village Limited is a social enterprise creating employment and economic opportunities by training software engineers and techpreneurs.
