Currently, the group is made up of 4 active companies: Mogtech Systems Nigeria Limited, MTS property Development Company Limited, Alkanes Petroleum &amp; Gas Limited and Alkanes Energy Services Limited. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Manager, Accounts<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lekki, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type<\/strong>: Full-time|<br \/>\n<strong>Job Family:<\/strong> Finance<br \/>\n<strong>Job-Level:<\/strong> Manager<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting Line:<\/strong> Group Chief Finance Officer (GCFO)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary (Role Purpose Statement)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To maximize the value of the Group to its stakeholders, considering both short and long term consequences of the firm\u2019s actions, for guided Management decisions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Works closely with the GCFO in implementing the Groups financial strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for managing and overseeing the day to day accounting\/ financing operations of the affiliate companies (under the supervision of the GCFO).<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with proper accounting policies, methods and principles in the affiliate companies.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the preparation of monthly financial reports of the different affiliate companies on a timely basis and ensures proper accounting records are kept.<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out monthly reconciliation of LC\u2019s and Loan Accounts with the aim of confirming the accuracy of interest charged by the bank (both pre neg. and post neg. charges).<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register and schedules of the affiliate companies.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures good monitoring and reviewing of financial performance by measuring and analyzing results with a view to initiating corrective actions in the affiliate companies.<\/li>\n<li>Must be a resource for financial modelling for all opportunities and prospective projects of the affiliate companies.<\/li>\n<li>Planning, Implementing and managing the Groups\u2019 CAPEX and OPEX budgets and cash flow forecast of the affiliate companies.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for attending to external auditors during the annual audit of the financial statements of the affiliated companies (under the supervision of the GCFO).<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for preparing, remitting and filing monthly and annual returns to Federal and State tax authorities and other government agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the preparation of monthly bank reconciliation statements for the various banks and testing the accuracy of bank charges and COT charged by the banks.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for managing the inventories of the affiliated companies.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for checking accuracy of monthly staff payroll of the affiliated companies.<\/li>\n<li>Act as the key driver in the preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of annual budget of the affiliated companies, reporting and investigating variances.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties as may be assigned by the GCFO and the GMD\/ Executive Chairman.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting<\/li>\n<li>ICAN or ACCA certified<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years of proven account management or other relevant professional experience<\/li>\n<li>Good working knowledge of Accounting Software Packages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business acumen<\/li>\n<li>Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity<\/li>\n<li>Critical thinking and problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize among competing tasks<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Leadership skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation and Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fair and Competitive Pay<\/li>\n<li>Health coverage<\/li>\n<li>13th month pay.<\/li>\n<li>Working in a progressive organization with a team of great minds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Applications to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@alkanespetroleum.com.ng\"><strong>careers@alkanespetroleum.com.ng<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br \/>\n17th February, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mogtech Group Limited is a holding Company whose members have evolved through the years.
