{"id":1783,"date":"2009-09-24T11:39:27","date_gmt":"2009-09-24T10:39:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=1783"},"modified":"2009-11-14T16:08:59","modified_gmt":"2009-11-14T15:08:59","slug":"imo-state-polytechnic-jobs-vacancies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/imo-state-polytechnic-jobs-vacancies.html","title":{"rendered":"Imo State Polytechnic Jobs Vacancies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the under listed posts of\u00a0<strong>Rector, Registrar and Bursar in the Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>THE POST OF RECTOR<br \/>\nQualifications:<br \/>\n\u2022 The applicant must hold a Doctorate Degree from a recognized a University and not below the rank of Chief lecturer\/Reader.<br \/>\n\u2022 He should possess a minimum of (15) years post-graduate relevant teaching, research and administrative experience in an institution of comparable standing and should not be more than 55 (fifty-five) years old.<br \/>\n\u2022 Possession of Professorship is an added distinction, managerial competence and probity.<br \/>\n\u2022 The candidate should be an inspiring team leader who is able to work with people in order to promote stability and commitment among staff and students.<br \/>\n\u2022 The prospective candidate should be able to develop and maintain good linkages with both internal and external agencies and the public, to meet the various needs of the polytechnic.<br \/>\n\u2022 Any applicant who at present, has not attained the rank of a Chief lecturer\/Reader for 3(three) years need not apply.<br \/>\nSalary:<br \/>\n\u2022 HATIS 15<br \/>\nTenure:<br \/>\n\u2022 The tenure is for a period of 4(four) years, renewable, if need be, for another period of 3(three) years only.<\/p>\n<p>THE POST OF REGISTRAR<br \/>\nDuties:<br \/>\n\u2022 The Registrar is a principal officer by stature and is responsible to the Rector for the day to day administration of the Polytechnic.<br \/>\n\u2022 He is the Head of the Registry, Secretary to the Governing Council and Secretary to the Academic Board.<br \/>\nQualifications:<br \/>\n\u2022 A good honours degree from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least (18) years cognate experience, or a Masters Degree plus at least 15 years cognate experience or doctorate degree plus at 12 years cognate experience.<br \/>\n\u2022 He or she should also possess evidence of high competence, industry, integrity, good human relations, effective leadership and efficient management of men and material resources, serving officers who have spent up to 10 (ten) years Deputy Registrar could apply.<br \/>\nSalary:<br \/>\n\u2022 HATIS 14(N333, 420 \u2013 N475, 788) P.A.<\/p>\n<p>THE POST OF BURSAR<br \/>\nDuties:<br \/>\n\u2022 The Bursar is a principal officer by statute and is responsible to the Rector for the day to day financial operation of the polytechnic.<br \/>\nQualifications:<br \/>\n\u2022 A good honours degree in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least (18) eighteen years post qualification cognate experience and must be registered with a recognized professional accounting body.<br \/>\n\u2022 Candidates with Masters Degree and professional qualification should have at least (13) thirteen years of cognate post qualification should have at least (13) thirteen years of cognate post qualification working experience.<br \/>\n\u2022 He or she should also possess evidence of high competence, industry, integrity, good human relations, effective leadership and efficient management of men and material resources.<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience in tertiary educational institution will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n\u2022 Serving Officers who have served up to (10) ten years as Chief Accountants\/Chief Auditors could apply.<br \/>\nSalary:<br \/>\n\u2022 HATIS 14(N333, 420 \u2013 N475, 788) P.A.<\/p>\n<p>Method of Application:<br \/>\nInterested candidates should forward (10) ten type written copies of their application with detailed curriculum vitae which should include: Full Names, Place and Date of Birth, Age, Nationality, Marital Status, Number of Children, stating their Ages, Contact Address, post Applied for, Field of study\/specialization, Educational Institutions attended with dates, Publications (if any), present employment, Rank and Salary, work experience in chronological order, community service, extracurricular activities, Names and Addresses of 3 (three) Referees who should send their confidential assessment\/report direct to the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council.
