We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Port Engineer &#8211;<\/strong> M\/F<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> 2023-628<br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Rivers<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type<\/strong>: Permanent Contract<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type (offshore\/onshore)<\/strong>: Onshore<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Mission:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the Technical Manager to maintain BINL FCB Fleet Technical Availability above 95%.<\/li>\n<li>Support day to day the technical teams dedicated for the surfer maintenance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Description and Expected Outcome \/ Performance Indicators<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manages the base technical team to organize daily maintenance according to the PMS.<\/li>\n<li>Issues and coordinates with operations and PMS Method Coordinator the planned maintenance schedule (Monthly Maintenance and dry-dock).<\/li>\n<li>Assist and advise the technical team for unplanned maintenance period to rectify the breakdowns.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the planned tasks are performed as per manual and instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Issue the technical weekly report.<\/li>\n<li>Manages good functioning of dedication team at the base.<\/li>\n<li>To provide guidance and solutions to technical issues to ensure the full technical readiness and optimum performance of the vessels in meeting the service commitments of the company.<\/li>\n<li>To provide a leading role and technical expertise in the event of an emergency response situation.<\/li>\n<li>To promote safety and safe working practices as an operational necessity.<\/li>\n<li>To provide effective communication across all levels within the company to inform of significant operational\/technical issues that impact on the availability of vessels.<\/li>\n<li>To keep proper operational records.<\/li>\n<li>To assist the crew during cases of troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<li>To be constantly aware of the situation of the vessels, the maintenance status and the repairs needs of the vessels on a short, medium- and long-term basis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications, Skills and Experiences<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of B.Tech \/ HND in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with ISM \/ ISPS is a must.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use the Microsoft packages: MS Word, Excel, MS Access, Power Point and Outlook.<\/li>\n<li>Extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of Nigeria marine environment and maritime laws.<\/li>\n<li>Positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated.<\/li>\n<li>Holder of Marine engineering COC unlimited.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience as Technical Superintendent\/ Port Engineer\/ Base Engineer<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of MS Office\/ Excel skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good listening and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment Team player with administration and crew.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent decision making skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communicator, clear and direct.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to set and meet goals and deadlines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Work Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 &#8211;
