We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Construction Electrical Design Engineer (HOD)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Ikoyi, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Head of Department Electrical Design Engineer follows the undergoing Designs and attends site inspections while he controls\/supervises the MEP contractors. Follow up with the day-to-day activities on site making sure that the progress is completed according to approved drawings and approved material submittals. Project management abilities are also required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks and Duties<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job \/ Duties Specifications<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design &amp; Drafting of Electrical Systems including, but not limited to, Medium and Low Voltage Power, Lighting, Low Current System, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to overcoming technical challenges on projects and providing guidance to less experienced team members<\/li>\n<li>Preparing well-reasoned and well-presented technical content for inclusion in key project documents, e.g. tender documentation, engineering designs, feasibility reports or technical specifications<\/li>\n<li>Communicating openly and effectively with team members<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the proper execution as per the approved shop drawings (Site inspections are required)<\/li>\n<li>Explain the work methodologies to the work and supervising force to ensure that the work is done as per the requirements<\/li>\n<li>Reporting to the General Manager regarding daily progress of work and plan for the next working days<\/li>\n<li>Informing the Project Manager (Contractor\u2019s Side) and the General Manager regarding material status on the site and preparing the requirement for the upcoming period<\/li>\n<li>Design systems incorporating power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specification and selection<\/li>\n<li>Take responsibility for electrical engineering tasks, and perform associated calculations and analysis<\/li>\n<li>Carry out\/Supervise all relevant testing before commissioning and handing over<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the Contractor\u2019s evaluation done for electrical engineering\/construction matters<\/li>\n<li>Analyze work non-conformities and provide recommendations and guidance for resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Inspect received material in the site<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all reporting personnel follow all company policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the technical and commercial evaluation of bids<\/li>\n<li>Review\/present claims for variation orders and provide input<\/li>\n<li>Analyze engineering problems and offer resolutions<\/li>\n<li>Review &amp; Issue material submittal statuses and recommendations<\/li>\n<li>In addition to working on consultancy assignments, the successful candidate will be expected to:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and consolidate client relationships<\/li>\n<li>Develop and consolidate networks within relevant client sectors<\/li>\n<li>Develop an understanding of relevant sectors and keep up-to-date with developments and innovations within those sectors<\/li>\n<li>Represent the firm at seminars, conferences etc.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the expansion of company and its professional standards<\/li>\n<li>Be a potential candidate for the position of \u201cHead of Electrical Division\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Educational Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND \/ Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum)<\/li>\n<li>Related Work Experience<\/li>\n<li>Ten to Twenty years of experience in other consultancy firms located in Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in the use of internet, email and Microsoft Office tools<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in use of AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Clear and precise communication skills<\/li>\n<li>NSE &amp; COREN Certified Engineer<\/li>\n<li>Direct personal experience in engaging with external regulatory authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:cv@ascentech.com.ng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cv@ascentech.com.ng<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>14th May, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ascentech Services Limited is a full-fledged Human Resource Solution Provider incorporated in 2013 with its Head Office in Lagos, Nigeria.
