We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\" aBigClassNameToAvoidCollision2\"><b>Job Title: Farm Manager<\/b><br \/>\n<strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Location: <\/strong>Imo<br \/>\n<b style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Employment<\/b> <b style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Type<\/b><b>: <\/b>Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are intending to hire a reliable and well-experienced Farm Manager to join our capable team of professionals.<\/li>\n<li>You will be able to maintain professional networks and keep abreast of developments in agricultural sciences to help us improve yields.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct and coordinate worker activities, such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, grading, and restoration.<\/li>\n<li>Determine how to raise crops by evaluating factors such as disease, soil conditions, and the availability of federal programs<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate growing activities with those of engineering, equipment maintenance, and other related departments.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze market conditions to determine acreage allocations.<\/li>\n<li>Record information, such as production, farm management practices, and parent stock, and prepares financial and operational reports.<\/li>\n<li>Determine procedural changes in drying, grading, storage, and transportation for greater efficiency and accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze soil to determine type and quantity of fertilizer required for maximum production.<\/li>\n<li>Inspect equipment to ensure proper functioning and ensures proper maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Inspect fields to determine maturity dates of crops or to estimate potential crop damage from weather.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and direct development and production of hybrid plant varieties with high yield or disease and insect resistant characteristics.<\/li>\n<li>Adapt their duties to the seasons, weather conditions, or a crop\u2019s growing cycle<\/li>\n<li>Purchase machinery, equipment, and supplies, such as tools, seed, fertilizer, and chemicals.<\/li>\n<li>Comply to farms standards and policies for e.g. health, safety, product quality, property and asset management and environment.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate financial statements and makes budget proposals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Agriculture or related field such as Agricultural Engineering, Crop Management, Farm Business Management, Horticulture, Land \/ Estate Management.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years\u00a0experience in Farming-related field<\/li>\n<li>A knowledge of food production and an awareness of customer demand, food standards and sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Genuine commitment to farming<\/li>\n<li>Good technical knowledge<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding of modern farming methods<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of the ways in which farming impacts the environment.<\/li>\n<li>Organisational and time-management skills<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Supervisory skills and management ability<\/li>\n<li>Numerical aptitude<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to be outside in all weathers and patience to undertake all sorts of practical, sometimes repetitive jobs<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivation, with the ability to motivate others<\/li>\n<li>Larger-scale business awareness<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send CV and Cover Letter to: <strong><a href=\"mailto:careers@sochifoods.com\">careers@sochifoods.com<\/a><\/strong> using Job Title as the Subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><b>OR<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/zfrmz.com\/JK0WET6kzbA01sNr8IMO\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Application Deadline:<\/b>\u00a021st May, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sochi Foods Limited is an FMCG company that specializes in producing premium-quality garri brands as well as immensely useful industrial and culinary byproducts from the cassava plant.
