We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Ajah, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mechanical Design Engineer at Buckler Systems would be responsible for carrying out detailed mechanical design work including 3D modelling, simulation and design verification testing as required.<\/li>\n<li>You will exercise creativity and determination as you study plans, develop designs, build prototypes and run tests to measure level of functionality.<\/li>\n<li>Our Mechanical Engineer is focused on undertaking research, testing and measuring the performance of our equipment, planning and designing tools, reviewing specifications and other data to develop mechanical layouts.<\/li>\n<li>In this role, your aim is to create and improve manufacturing systems or processes and develop drawings for our equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Designs, executes, and manages tests to collect statistically significant data to ensure technical specifications and product requirements are met.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for mechanical part selection taking into consideration obsolescence, availability, design costs, mechanical products and systems by developing and<br \/>\ntesting specifications and methods.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluates and confirms mechanical systems and products by conducting research programs and applying principles of mechanics.<\/li>\n<li>Constructs prototypes, performs physical testing on engineering prototypes and confirm designs.<\/li>\n<li>Choose and interface with vendors for low cost and high performance.<\/li>\n<li>Conform with local, state and company engineering standards.<\/li>\n<li>Design and implement manufacturing and maintenance policies.<\/li>\n<li>Using CAD and CAE software to design and oversee product blueprints.<\/li>\n<li>Writing and documenting reports on Military equipment and engineering records.<\/li>\n<li>Works closely with operations, manufacturing and production engineers to ensure products are designed for manufacture.<\/li>\n<li>Develops mechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators.<\/li>\n<li>Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.<\/li>\n<li>Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities, confirming fabrication, assembly, and<br \/>\ninstallation processes.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations, industry and business standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates should possess a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree qualification.<\/li>\n<li>3 year\u2019 experience in an engineering role or similar role within Military or similar industry<\/li>\n<li>Experience in designing industry-specific products.<\/li>\n<li>AutoCAD \/ Solid works experience.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with technical specifications<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@bucklersystems.com\"><strong>hr@bucklersystems.com<\/strong><\/a> using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Buckler Systems is a Nigerian defense solutions provider with strong expertise in manufacturing civilian armored vehicles, design, and prototyping of military vehicles and ordnance equipment.
