We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Quantity Surveyor &#8211; National, Gas Based Captive Power Plant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting:<\/strong> Site Sr. Engineer =&gt; Site Construction Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking to fill a Quantity surveyor role. Quantity surveyors areresponsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.<\/li>\n<li>Quantity surveyors manage the costs on a construction project. They help to ensure that the construction project is completed within its projected budget. QS can check the bill and obtaining report the site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He is the Quantity surveyor for Overseeing site and direct construction projects from conception to completion covering all Civil &amp; Structural disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Quantity surveyors are involved in all phases of a facility&#8217;s lifecycle such asfeasibility, design, construction, extension, refurbishment, maintenance, and demolition. The competencies of quantity surveyors are aimed at producing constructions that meet the client&#8217;s value system.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in establishing clients\u2019 requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will work.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and analyses the cost of tender.<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing terms and conditions of the contract.<\/li>\n<li>Predicting potential risks in the project and taking precautions to mitigate such.<\/li>\n<li>Forecasting the costs of different resources needed for the project.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets and other documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Tender management including preparation of bills of quantities, contract conditions and assembly of tender documents.<\/li>\n<li>Contract management and contractual advice.<\/li>\n<li>Valuation of construction work.<\/li>\n<li>Claims and Dispute management.<\/li>\n<li>Life Cycle Cost analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Value Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Timely payment to subcontractors, vendors, suppliers etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 10+ years relevant proven experience in the Gas based Captive Power Plant, Intake system from river\/ocean, Work Sequence planning, Water Treatment Plant, Gas\/Steam Turbine Foundations, By-pass Stack Foundations, Large size of Tank Foundations, Steel Structures Fabrication &amp; Erection, combined cycle power plant projects construction having large industrial Gas turbines. Person having Coal power plant experience shall not be considered.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods<\/li>\n<li>Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of all facets of the construction process<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with construction management software packages.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to plan and see the &#8220;big picture&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Competent in conflict and crisis management.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience working for the Owner, Consultant or EPC contractor on large CCGT projects is essential.<\/li>\n<li>Leadership and human resources management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time and project management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Readiness to be at site based in IPP\/CPP<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(100%).<\/li>\n<li>Previous international experience is required.<\/li>\n<li>Effective oral and written communications and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with the design team in the resolution of project related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Must be self-motivated, results oriented, and be flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team environment<\/li>\n<li>Capable to read all Civil\/Structural drawings and brief to downline.<\/li>\n<li>Capable to taking BBS from GA drawings<\/li>\n<li>Capable to checking the invoices\/Bill\/BOQ<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:careers@energy-mgt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">careers@energy-mgt.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using &#8220;Quantity Surveyor &#8211; Captive Power Plant&#8221; as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>31st May, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sterling Oil Exploration &amp; Energy Production Company Limited (SEEPCO) is an indigenous company that ventured into Exploration and Production (E&amp;P) business in the year 2005.
