We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Officer <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Abuja (FCT)<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Contract<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><br \/>\nAccounting Software operations and Reporting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare payment, journal and receipt vouchers using the corporate accounting software \u2013 EXCEL<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that transactions are complete and accurate with self-explanatory and understandable descriptions.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain good filing for all vouchers in a limited access area to ensure easy retrieval.<\/li>\n<li>Support in ensuring all documents are scanned and properly stored in HipCity database<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a record of vouchers borrowed by staff and ensure that they are returned and filed appropriately.<\/li>\n<li>Following up with project staff as regards the dashboard financial deadline requirements<\/li>\n<li>Print the monthly reports for signing and appropriate filing.<\/li>\n<li>Support program staff in making payments to participants during activities implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake basic financial analysis (i.e., budget variance) to support project information needs.<\/li>\n<li>Working with the project team in the development of forecasts for projects.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor budget expenditures and maintain a proper record of approved project budgets and their revisions.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the documentation for payment is acceptable and accurate with all arithmetic calculations being correct.<\/li>\n<li>Approved payment requests should be processed within three days of receipt.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare the Withholding tax and VAT schedule where relevant before payment is done.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain cash books, including providing updates to Executive Director to prevent negative cash and bank balance.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare the withholding tax deductions report, and complete and submit monthly Statutory PAYE forms to relevant Government Organizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University Degree in Accounting, Economics\u00a0or Banking and Finance<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 1year experience in accounting related to NGOs and community-level programs, with increasing responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with large complex organizations is required, familiarity with international NGOs preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV and Applications to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:jobs@hipcityinnovationcentre.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">jobs@hipcityinnovationcentre.org<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using &#8220;Finance Officer&#8221; as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application\u00a0<\/strong><b>Deadline:\u00a0<\/b>31st May, 2023 (5:00PM).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Application will be assess on a rolling basis.<\/li>\n<li>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/li>\n<li>The position is valid for the duration stated.<\/li>\n<li>Only applicants that adhere to the full instruction in this advert will be attended to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HipCity Innovation Centre (HipCity Hub) is a research, development and advocacy organization with a mandate to strengthen citizen\u2019s capacity on demanding accountable governance, as well as create platforms for citizens\u2019&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10165,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[28],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>HipCity Innovation Centre (HipCity Hub) Latest Job Vacancy - Apply Now!
