ETA-ZUMA Group is an indigenous conglomerate with interests in diverse strategic sectors of the economy. The acquisition was spurred by the economic reason to consolidate the diverse licenses into a balanced portfolio that will reduce risk and position the emerging company to exploit emerging market opportunities in a global commodities market that is on a rebound. The acquisition also included Eta-Zuma Group Limited &#8211; a key player in the emerging solid minerals industry of Nigeria. The acquisitions increased the size of the company more than five-fold. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Asset Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Abuja (FCT)<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.<\/li>\n<li>Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.<\/li>\n<li>Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.<\/li>\n<li>Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.<\/li>\n<li>Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.<\/li>\n<li>Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation<\/li>\n<li>Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic physical counts of fixed assets.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare property tax returns<\/li>\n<li>Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies\/ Requirements \/ Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field<\/li>\n<li>Professional certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA or CMA) is required<\/li>\n<li>5 &#8211; 7 years proven work experience in Asset management<\/li>\n<li>Should possess lease management skill<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with accounting ERP software packages<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy (MS Excel in particular)<\/li>\n<li>Must have analytical Skill<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.etazuma.com\/jobs\/asset-accountant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>11th June, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eta-Zuma Group is a company of 8 separate companies with exploration licenses covering diverse solid minerals like iron ore, gold, tantalite, coal, limestone\/marble, etc. In April 2009, these eight companies&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10165,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Eta-Zuma Group Current Job Opportunity - Apply Now!
