We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Front Desk Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja, Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Duration:<\/strong> 6 Months<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This role will support seamless communication between Plan international Nigeria and its visitors and ensure professional and smooth conduct.<\/li>\n<li>The role would also be responsible for managing assigned administrative tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dimensions of the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Front Desk Support is responsible for supporting the Country office operations team with welcome services, custodian of petty cash funds, administrative support and general management of the reception area for the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide timely welcome services to visitors and guests<\/li>\n<li>Handle all incoming and out going calls in a professional manner<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the front office\/ reception area is well maintained at all times<\/li>\n<li>Receive visitors and direct them appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Support in planning meetings, workshops and booking of halls<\/li>\n<li>Support with drafting letters for Visa processes<\/li>\n<li>Receive mails and parcels and ensure that they are appropriately dispatched to relevant staff<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and file documents for signature\/ action, as necessary to ensure proper filing are in place<\/li>\n<li>Custodian of petty cash funds<\/li>\n<li>Sending out RFQs\/ RFPs to prequalified vendors<\/li>\n<li>Provide support in raising PRs and payment processes<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with courier services such as DHL to pick up parcels for dispatch<\/li>\n<li>Interfacing with Plan international Nigeria and the public<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as may be assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nEssential:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University Degree in Business, Management or any related field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years work experience in INGO<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 2-years work experience in front desk\/ reception administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>People Skills: Ability to work independently and as a team player who demonstrates leadership<\/li>\n<li>Communication Skills: Well developed written and oral communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with vendors as a representative of Plan international. \u00a0This includes effective negotiation and representation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Able to be planned and organized even within a fluid working environment and has a capacity for initiative and decision making with competent analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build and maintain strong working internal and external relationships, and represent Plan in a professional and competent manner.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable understanding of, and commitment to, equal opportunities, gender and diversity.<\/li>\n<li>Integrity: Works with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to Plan international\u2019s core values and humanitarian principles.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of SAP ERP<\/li>\n<li>Awareness and sensitivity of self and others: Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity.
