Our service capability covers the entire asset lifecycle: from identifying the opportunity to the operating phase.We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Principal Piping Engineer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong> NGA-Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Ref No:<\/strong> LAG006G<br \/>\n<strong>Job:\u00a0<\/strong> Piping<br \/>\n<strong>Schedule:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong>\u00a0 Direct Contractor<br \/>\n<strong>Job Level:<\/strong>\u00a0 Experienced<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting Manager Title:<\/strong>\u00a0 Engineering Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand all the jobs of Level 3 and be able to do the following additional functions\/jobs<\/li>\n<li>Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and quality is acceptable. Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of assigned personnel. Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as project needs arise.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts performance evaluations, takes corrective action as necessary, recommends promotions and salary actions, and recommends training and development for assigned personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Helps to define discipline design organization and participation on a project, including scope of work, design criteria, schedules, standards, and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare reliable CTRs (man-hour) and budget estimates for proposals and tenders.<\/li>\n<li>Engaged in inter-discipline Squad check of design deliverables and be able manage discipline interfaces.<\/li>\n<li>Provides technical direction, making decisions and\/or obtaining additional technical staff assistance as the situation warrants. This may include obtaining the services of consultants.<\/li>\n<li>Must have two or more special skill\/knowledge based areas either in mechanical or piping designs and engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Assist project management group in providing relevant discipline inputs to Project&#8217;s Design &amp; Execution Plan, Schedule, Cost Estimating, Progress Measurement &amp; Reporting, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Very conversant with design Codes and Standards and be able to apply them in design and specification writing. (API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, AWS, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Participate actively in technical review and HAZOP\/Constructability meetings<\/li>\n<li>Initiates and\/or reviews change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education &#8211; Qualifications, Accreditation, Training<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Mechanical engineering or related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Specific Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working knowledge of the latest applicable engineering codes and standards, design practices and design quality standards.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient experience in the Offshore\/Onshore orientated Oil and Gas environment.<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of Piping drawing and office produced deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Application of knowledge to add value,<\/li>\n<li>Proficient knowledge of Equipment design, specification and procurement activities, Understanding and implementation of engineering and design process, General software and analytical skills, Designs for constructability, commissioning, operations and maintenance, etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Industry Specific Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 15 years of related working experience, including supervisory experience<\/li>\n<li>Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional society.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HSE Capability:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment to safe working practices and ability to promote safety consciousness within the department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>IT Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency in utilizing PC and various computer engineering applications software is required (including CAD, Microstation CAD systems if applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>People Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Requires communication skills to be able to successfully work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other disciplines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/worleyparsons.taleo.net\/careersection\/ext\/jobdetail.ftl?job=LAG006G\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>14th July 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WorleyParsons has had a presence in Africa since the 1970&#8217;s when Parsons E&amp;C established their offices in Cairo, Egypt.
