We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Network Engineer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lekki, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Network Engineer plays a critical role in the telecommunication company, ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of network infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>This position involves designing, implementing, and supporting network systems, protocols, and technologies to deliver reliable and high-performance telecommunications services. The Network Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and deliver exceptional network performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, plan, and implement network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices, to support telecommunication services.<\/li>\n<li>Configure and optimize network protocols, including TCP\/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor network performance and identify potential issues or bottlenecks, proactively taking measures to ensure network reliability and performance.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular network assessments and capacity planning to accommodate growing business needs.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network solutions that meet business requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents and problems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to services.<\/li>\n<li>Perform network maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and device configurations.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, access control, and intrusion detection systems.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and configurations.<\/li>\n<li>Stay updated on emerging network technologies and industry best practices, recommending network enhancements and optimizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Network Design and Implementation<\/li>\n<li>Network Operations and Maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Academic Quantification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field is typically required for a Network Engineer role.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS), are highly desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 1 &#8211; 3 years of experience in a Telecommunications Company or Internet Service Provider with a fair knowledge of Internet Leased Line, Leased Line, Home Broadband, FTTH, FTTX, VoIP, IPTV and Telecommunications Operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and architectures.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.<\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for network automation is advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with telecommunication-specific technologies, such as VoIP, SIP, or mobile networks, is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In-depth understanding of network protocols, including TCP\/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.<\/li>\n<li>Awareness of emerging network technologies and industry trends.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of telecommunication-specific technologies, such as VoIP, SIP, or mobile networks.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of network devices and technologies, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, SNMP, and NetFlow analyzers.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding network security principles, including firewalls, access control, and encryption protocols.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Measurable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Network uptime and availability.<\/li>\n<li>Network performance and throughput.<\/li>\n<li>Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) for network incidents.<\/li>\n<li>Compliance with network security policies and standards.<\/li>\n<li>Timely completion of network projects and tasks.User satisfaction with network services and performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration<\/strong><br \/>\nN130,000 (Gross).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should forward their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@beckleyconsulting.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>recruitment@beckleyconsulting.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the job title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>23rd June, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beckley Consulting Limited &#8211;
