Mechanics supervisors also inspect work done by mechanics under their supervision, examine tools to ensure that they are in good working condition and maintain logs of machine repair and maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical engineers Supervisor develop, design, build, test, and inspect mechanical devices and systems, such as machines, tools, and engines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Function<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trains workers in rigging hoists, and dismantling and loading equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations. Experienced in heavy diesel engine diagnosis and repairs.<\/li>\n<li>Mechanic supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that repair work targets or goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Has full authority for personnel actions.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise maintenance and repair of trucks.<\/li>\n<li>Mechanic Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of the workshop staff.<\/li>\n<li>Schedules, trains, and coordinates the work of mechanics and technicians.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures inventory of replacement parts, tools, and equipment is maintained effectively. Establishes and enforces quality and safety standards and regulations for preventive maintenance and repairs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Result Area<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Average response time<\/li>\n<li>Average\/ mean repair time<\/li>\n<li>Average job completion time<\/li>\n<li>First-time fixed rate<\/li>\n<li>Repeat visits<\/li>\n<li>Average extra hours per job<\/li>\n<li>Total labour costs per job<\/li>\n<li>Labour invoiced per job<\/li>\n<li>Total jobs assigned per technician.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates should possess a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree \/ HND \/ OND qualification<\/li>\n<li>Successful 10 &#8211; 15 years of experience in the industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In-depth knowledge in risk management, Business &amp; product knowledge, Relationship Management, leadership and supervisory skills as well as communication and presentation skills, and Business decision analysis skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Typical Physical Demands:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Requires sitting, standing, and traveling. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as diagonalized computers, and other workshop equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Typical Mental Demands:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Personal maturity is an important attribute.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to resolve problems, handle complaints, and errors, and make effective decisions under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Must have a long attention span in order to listen to clients, perceive the real problems and bring issues to a successful conclusion.<\/li>\n<li>Must relate and interact with people at all levels in the company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Occasionally called upon to work overtime or odd schedules.
