We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Senior Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Ikota, Ajah &#8211; Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Sector:<\/strong> Real Estate<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Brief<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.<\/li>\n<li>Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we\u2019re compliant with all tax regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage all accounting transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare budget forecasts.<\/li>\n<li>Publish financial statements in time.<\/li>\n<li>Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely bank payments.<\/li>\n<li>Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.<\/li>\n<li>Manage balance sheets and profit\/loss statements.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation and payment of commissions to company\u2019s consultants and partners.<\/li>\n<li>Report on the company\u2019s financial health and liquidity.<\/li>\n<li>Audit financial transactions and documents.<\/li>\n<li>Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with financial policies and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Train other junior accountants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc in Accounting, Finance or relevant Degree.<\/li>\n<li>Additional certification (ICAN) is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Work experience as an Accountant with a minimum of 5 years.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). o Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables. o Experience with general ledger functions.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
