Together with its affiliated companies Mariana Express Lines (MELL) and Malaysia Shipping Corporation, PIL serves customers at over 500 locations in more than 90 countries worldwide with a fleet of around 100 container and multi-purpose vessels. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Head of Business Development, Logistics (Nigeria)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Nigeria<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish and grow sales funnel, with high customer conversion<\/li>\n<li>Provide a differentiated level of service and solutions and increase customer stickiness<\/li>\n<li>Tender and win long-term contracts<\/li>\n<li>Understand customer&#8217;s requirements and provide appropriate solutions<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate favorable commercial rates to ensure a viable business model<\/li>\n<li>Model end-to-end cost and profit margins to optimize earnings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Supply Chain, Maritime Studies or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>At least 8 years relevant experience in shipping, air freight, land logistics, pricing, intermodal or related fields.<\/li>\n<li>Energetic, well-organized, efficient and effective, self-initiated and good coordination skills.<\/li>\n<li>Data driven, good analytical skills and keen eye for details.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving skills with creative alternative solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Attitude:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deep understanding of critical parameters for all modes of transportation<\/li>\n<li>Broad network of customers, local authorities, vendors, service providers<\/li>\n<li>Procurement best practices<\/li>\n<li>High integrity and adherence to corporate governance policies<\/li>\n<li>High emotional quotient and people skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication abilities (oral, written, presentation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><br \/>\nThe appointment will be commensurate with experience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/3673100307\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Incorporated in 1967, Pacific International Lines (PIL) is ranked 12th among the world\u2019s top container shipping lines and is also the largest home-grown carrier in Southeast Asia.
