5pm<br \/>\n<strong>Slot:<\/strong> 2 Openings<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose<\/strong><br \/>\nA brief overview of the role:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Merchant Engagement Officer is responsible for expanding the customer base and merchant network by identifying, developing and implementing effective business development and sales strategies to generate leads<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Actively engage merchants on a weekly basis via phone\/store visit<\/li>\n<li>Proactively provide merchants with trading tips to be successful on the platform<\/li>\n<li>Request deal (competitively priced) products from merchants on a weekly basis<\/li>\n<li>Aggregate weekly products for marketing consumption<\/li>\n<li>Relay feedback from merchants to help improve selling experience<\/li>\n<li>On-board strategic merchants<\/li>\n<li>Identify &amp; fill up assortment gaps in all categories<\/li>\n<li>Come up with initiatives to drive the overall success of marketplace sales<\/li>\n<li>Work with marketing to ensure representation on all marketing assets<\/li>\n<li>Assist merchants with managing online sales and also get feedback on any issues raised<\/li>\n<li>Follow through with merchant escalation.<\/li>\n<li>Developing strategic relationships at each marketplace to learn about best practices, pilot programs, new opportunities, or policy changes and finding ways to improve sales for our clients<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in business development activities related to selling marketplace services to clients\/prospects<\/li>\n<li>Growing merchants by creating and implementing community marketing efforts and managing and nurturing the merchant communication channel<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the volumes of merchants by: a) promotion across multiple channels including social media and blogs; one-on- one discussions at weekend markets, trade shows and other events b) Improving the volume of listing merchants c) helping Konga focus on certain categories<\/li>\n<li>Provide clear communication to Sellers of how best to maximize their opportunity<\/li>\n<li>Work with Marketing and Merchandising to incorporate Sellers promotions into Sears.com promotions.<\/li>\n<li>Work with seller support, Operations, &amp; IT to communicate any Seller technical issues and ensure immediate resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Set-up, track and improve content quality metrics to ensure consistency, accuracy, and optimal experience across platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Set-up, track and improve production velocity and costs across the various content improvement stages.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the production team to ensure unit objectives are achieved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND \/ B.Sc in any field with 3-year experience in the same or related role<\/li>\n<li>Excellent product knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Efficient in the use of MS Office Suite<\/li>\n<li>Strong oral and written communications skills;<\/li>\n<li>Strong business analytics, relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem-solving and change management skills;<\/li>\n<li>Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communicator with ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work efficiently in a highly demanding environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong conflict management skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem solving and resource management skills<\/li>\n<li>String Product and Analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated success preferably in Ecommerce;<\/li>\n<li>Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge \/ Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good product knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Problem analysis and problem-solving<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Effective planning &amp;
