We advocate for rape survivors who can\u2019t speak about their ordeal due to stigmatisation, by enlightening our community on the need to end rape and victim-blaming. STER was started with the firm belief that no survivor should suffer in silence and that comprehensive support systems are crucial for their healing and justice. We strive to create a society that stands against rape, supports survivors, and holds perpetrators accountable. Our ultimate goal is to eradicate rape and create a safe and inclusive Nigeria for all. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Department Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Finance Department is responsible for guiding financial decision making and managing STER\u2019s financial resources.<\/li>\n<li>The Department\u2019s role is broadly divided into three major areas: financial planning and control, which involves developing annual financial strategy and budget, ongoing monitoring and establishment of financial controls; transaction processing, which covers the day-to-day management of internal financial transactions; and financial reporting for donors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post journal entries.<\/li>\n<li>Process internal and external payment requests.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly management reports.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate annual budgeting process and maintain appropriate financial documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate financial operations to strategise and implement best practices for STER\u2019s efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on financial requests.<\/li>\n<li>Manage statutory remittances.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare annual financial statements.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate year-end audits.<\/li>\n<li>Provide any other general accounting support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements, Knowledge and Expertise<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.<\/li>\n<li>At least two (2) years of experience in a similar role with experience in financial transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Professional Accounting certification (e.g. ICAN).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is required.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Sound understanding of financial and accounting principles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should forward their Curriculum Vitae and brief Cover Letter to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:admin@standtoendrape.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">admin@standtoendrape.org<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>7th August, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stand To End Rape Initiative (STER) is a youth-led social enterprise advocating against sexual violence, providing prevention mechanisms, and supporting survivors with psychosocial services.
