We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Architect<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lekki, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Design Development:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, vision, and project goals.<\/li>\n<li>Create concept sketches, drawings, and architectural models to visualize and communicate design ideas effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Develop comprehensive design proposals that align with project constraints, regulations, and aesthetic preferences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Planning:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct site analysis to assess the physical, environmental, and contextual factors that could impact the design.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare feasibility studies and cost estimates to guide project budgeting and resource allocation.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with engineers, urban planners, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive design approach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Expertise:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Integrate sustainable design principles to enhance energy efficiency and minimize environmental impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Client Collaboration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain open communication with clients to gather feedback, address concerns, and update them on project progress.<\/li>\n<li>Present design concepts and proposals to clients, explaining design rationale and addressing questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the project from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure construction aligns with design intent.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor construction progress, resolve design-related issues, and approve material and finish selections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Quality Control:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction aligns with the design plans and specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Review and approve shop drawings, samples, and mock-ups to maintain design integrity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Innovation and Research:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and emerging materials to integrate innovative solutions into projects.<\/li>\n<li>Apply creative problem-solving skills to address design challenges and create unique, functional spaces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s or Master&#8217;s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.<\/li>\n<li>Project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of sustainable design principles and their implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Professional licensure as an architect (where required) or eligibility to pursue licensure.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills to collaborate with clients and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in architectural design, preferably with a portfolio showcasing a range of project types and scales.<\/li>\n<li>Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, and consultants.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing all phases of a project, from concept design through construction administration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:careersatpogs@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">careersatpogs@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>29th September, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Petrok is a multi- sector project support service company operating across Africa, with offices in Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania and Mozambique.
