We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Store Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Requisition ID:<\/strong>\u00a0 2236<br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Ashaka Plant, Gombe<br \/>\n<strong>Reports<\/strong> <strong>to:<\/strong> Maintenance Manager<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The position is responsible for safety\/production clothing, explosives, grinding media, refractory bricks, oils &amp; greases, other production supplies, mechanical spares, mobile plant spares, electrical spares, instrumentation\/automation spares, generators spares, petrol and diesel, laboratory supplies and general services supplies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for general coordination and supervision of stores administration and inventory management.<\/li>\n<li>Supervision of stock receipts, transfers, issues, returns and general stores accounting.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for managing the inventory and ensure optimum stock levels are maintained.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures relevant spares and materials are stocked.<\/li>\n<li>To provide reporting about the stores to Management on a monthly basis.<\/li>\n<li>Motivates stores staff.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for good health and safety of staff and properties under his supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Identify training needs for surbordinates.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management system in the plant<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for company\u2019s procedure related to stock material management.<\/li>\n<li>Receive and confirm for approval the purchase requisition for stock items.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the removal of obsolete items as determined by the users.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors stock<\/li>\n<li>Maintains stock items in good and appropriate condition<\/li>\n<li>Contributes in optimisation of Working Capital Requirement (WCR) by optimising stock holding and cost of storage.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures compliance to Quality Management System<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organization Dimensions<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Interfaces with:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plant Management:\n<ul>\n<li>To relay management information and seek approval of documents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Stores Supervisors:\n<ul>\n<li>To receive documents covering all physical movements.<\/li>\n<li>To prepare and participate in operational stock count.<\/li>\n<li>To solve abnormalities (stock gaps, new codification, shelves &amp; racks addressing etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Users (Production, Maintenance, Quality Control, etc.):\n<ul>\n<li>To receive purchase request and follow up for approval<\/li>\n<li>To receive issue request and follow up the issuance.<\/li>\n<li>To receive inquiries about outstanding orders and provide solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Finance Department\n<ul>\n<li>To send documents with proper information to update the accounting books of the company.<\/li>\n<li>To participate in financial stock taking participate in tackling variations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>CPU (Central Purchasing Unit):\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure that purchase requisition are promptly processed to purchase order.<\/li>\n<li>To receive copies of PO for follow-ups.<\/li>\n<li>To inform about the quality of suppliers for appraisal purposes.<\/li>\n<li>For prompt stock replenishment and contact in case of delivery delay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Suppliers:\n<ul>\n<li>To receive supplies and attend to suppliers inquiries.<\/li>\n<li>To follow-up the delivery and complain of any delay in delivery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>External auditors\/Internal auditors:\n<ul>\n<li>To facilitate and participate in both internal and external audits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Challenges of the Job<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must \u00a0support a project of re-organization<\/li>\n<li>Must implement to the fullest, computerized system (JD Edwards).<\/li>\n<li>Must include on his stores system an important quantity of new items for\u00a0new line &amp; Packing Plant.<\/li>\n<li>Must ensure that offshore items delivered in containers are offloaded.<\/li>\n<li>Must ensure safety and security of materials inside the Warehouses.<\/li>\n<li>Constraints as result of space limitation.<\/li>\n<li>With Supplier\/Contractors:\n<ul>\n<li>Constraints as a result of deviations from delivery dates.<\/li>\n<li>Constraints as a result of problems associated with quality, qantity, delay and price.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>With Users:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Incomplete and inconsistent item description.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Information Technology :<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Delay associated with providing uninterrupted Network Systems incorporating inventory packages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives\/Challenges:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Elimination of stock variances<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adequate security and general cleanliness of the stores<\/li>\n<li>To obtain the required goods (materials, spare parts etc) and services in the best conditions of overall cost, operational efficiency and effectiveness<\/li>\n<li>To put at the disposal of the users purchased goods and services in optimum level of quality\/cost and at the date required by the users.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that as much as possible no direct purchases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a technical Degree\/Diploma (In Engineering), plus a Master&#8217;s in Business Administration.<\/li>\n<li>Professional Qualification (e.g. CIPSMN) is a major advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Functional Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiar with engineering items, production items and general items.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate with good knowledge of microsoft office professional.<\/li>\n<li>Posses good analytical and reporting skills.<\/li>\n<li>Stock and supplying (handling) management.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge about Health &amp; Hazards storage rules &amp; regulations<\/li>\n<li>Stock management techniques e.g. calculation of stock levels<\/li>\n<li>Techniques of stacking spare parts in proper conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Computerised systems (especially JD Edwards or similar).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of basic statistics (random sampling analysis, statistical laws as normal).<\/li>\n<li>Notions of negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Receiving and controlling techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Notions of environmental protection.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of industrial accounting and cost analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of local markets (for local small purchases).<\/li>\n<li>Techniques of appraisal of suppliers in order to provide purchasing department with information (reception, conditions, quality of items, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of technical spares (mechanical, electrical and instrumentation especially for cement plants).<\/li>\n<li>Notions of cement process and main equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of units of measurements.<\/li>\n<li>Integrity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organizational &amp;
