For over 38 years the association has focused on meeting three vital needs &#8211; water, food and shelter. Currently present in Nigeria since 2016, SI carries out emergency \/ post-emergency programs in WASH sector in North East region. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: MEAL OFFICER<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Anka, Zamfara<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Contract<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Start date:\u00a0<\/strong>Projected contract\u00a0duration Months \u2013 with possible extension.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mission \/ Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the supervision of the Team Leader, the M&amp;E Officer is in charge of the monitoring of the activities\u2019 implementation.<\/li>\n<li>He\/she collects data and provides evidence of the program\u2019s progress and achievements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Monitoring and evaluation (M&amp;E):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the responsibility of the team leader, participate in the logistics and administrative organization, planning, and preparation of M&amp;E missions:<\/li>\n<li>Formulate preliminary recommendations on how to improve the activities.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor humanitarian situation.<\/li>\n<li>With the support of the PM and MEAL team, prepare and implement trainings on monitoring tools to field officers.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in external M&amp;E mission.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that contractual soft &amp; hard data about programmes is easily available upon request.<\/li>\n<li>Apply the security procedures in the context of monitoring &amp; evaluation missions.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the creation of monitoring tools and to the preparation of database frames based on questionnaires.<\/li>\n<li>Support the team leader in centralizing and organizing data collection for activities and outputs as defined in the M&amp;E plan.<\/li>\n<li>Collect monitoring data using SI tools:<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to data collection at field level (overseeing surveys etc.) and make sure that all available aspects are covered.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all data is entered on time and check their consistency and quality. Contribute to maintaining the database following a standard format allowing aggregation of data to produce routine or periodic monitoring reports.<\/li>\n<li>Identify potential negative impacts of the activities.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor that crosscutting aspects like gender and \u201cdo no harm\u201d are taken into account in the activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting \/ Communication:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Draft M&amp;E reports and provide project updates and recommendations as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in seminars and training workshops which may be useful to the accomplishment of monitoring &amp; evaluation activities and the attainment of the project\u2019s objectives and in restitution workshops.<\/li>\n<li>Keep monitoring tools and files archived and secured.<\/li>\n<li>Update regularly the monitoring &amp; evaluation tools &amp; methodology considering the donor\u2019s indicators, gender, disabled persons, protection &amp; \u00ab\u00a0Do No Harm\u00a0\u00bb approaches.<\/li>\n<li>Make regular reports to the team lead on the evolution of activities and specific tasks confided to him\/her, problems encountered, and the quality of relations with beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>Bring to light any difficulty linked to his or her activities, to the programs of Solidarit\u00e9s or security concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the administration and the local authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>HR Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take part in the recruitment of the monitoring team (enumerators \/ DW) when needed<\/li>\n<li>Train and build the capacity of the team (enumerators \/DW)<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the monitoring team (enumerators \/ DW)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Studies:<\/strong> HND \/ University Degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> At least 1 year of practical experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) with National or International NGOs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Languages:<\/strong> Good spoken and written command of English and Knowledge of Hausa.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IT:<\/strong> Competency in Excel (data input, basic analysis) and Kobo Toolbox.<\/li>\n<li>Resident of Anka in Zamfara state<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What we Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Salary + food &amp; housing contribution + social benefits (medical coverage, 24 days of Annual leaves per year, compassionate leaves, public holidays as announced by government, festive bonus, Life insurance- covering death and permanent disability) etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1gZgsmEKt89RcMRf_q-a8JQUvZIRtmC-bg-Qr_00-tU0\/edit#responses:~:text=https%3A\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdR0c8x5jCjAkmrAEI%2DZmLFC0QvKEn9I8Rp6V8_IjqEu76kuA\/viewform%3Fusp%3Dsf_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>31st August, 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualified females are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n<li>Select MEAL Officer, fill out the form and attach your CV and motivation letter.<\/li>\n<li>The CV attached must be named with your first name and surname.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Solidarites International (SI) is a French humanitarian organization which provides aid and assistance to victims of war or natural disaster.
