We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Engineering Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Benin City, Edo<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our innovative team.<\/li>\n<li>As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and collaborate closely with product managers to drive the development and successful delivery of our products.<\/li>\n<li>You&#8217;ll be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the projects, ensuring the alignment of software architecture with business objectives, and implementing robust DevOps practices to maintain efficient and reliable software operations.<\/li>\n<li>The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products while maintaining a strategic focus on innovation, scalability, and customer satisfaction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>As an Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will be to<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical leadership and guidance to multiple outsourced development teams.<\/li>\n<li>Review and assess technical proposals, designs, and code contributions from external teams.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment processes.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and collaboration among the development teams.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical problem-solving.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with product managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in product planning, roadmap development, and requirement gathering.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a bridge between technical teams and product teams, ensuring a clear understanding of technical complexities and limitations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases in coordination with development teams.<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain architectural documentation and diagrams.<\/li>\n<li>Design and evolve software architecture to align with scalability, reliability, and performance goals.<\/li>\n<li>Make informed architectural decisions that balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to achieve architectural goals.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and drive DevOps practices, focusing on continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automation.<\/li>\n<li>Lead efforts to improve deployment pipelines, monitoring, and incident response procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.<\/li>\n<li>Provide regular updates on project status, technical decisions, and challenges to senior leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Manage relationships with outsourced development partners, addressing concerns, and ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You would be a good fit if you have<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>7+ years relevant work experience.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of agile software development methodologies, architecture, and DevOps practices.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with geographically distributed and outsourced development teams.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in programming languages, modern software development tools, and cloud platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution.<\/li>\n<li>Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To Apply<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/3704575257\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VIISAUS is a Tech Consulting firm focused on designing and executing projects by leveraging big data and technology.
