We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Mechanical Engineer &#8211; Ashaka<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Requisition ID:<\/strong> 2266<br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Opebi &#8211; Ikeja, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures the efficient coordination of all mechanical maintenance related execution activities in any designated area in the plant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Activities \/ Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the execution of maintenance work carried out on mechanical equipment in the plant with proper feedback to the Sectional Engineer<\/li>\n<li>Participate in critical failure root cause analysis within the plant<\/li>\n<li>Follows policies in his day-to-day work<\/li>\n<li>Attends departmental meetings regularly, implement management policies with subordinates, and communicates results to the top mechanical Manager.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Keeps himself informed of general plant practices so as to ensure \u201con-call\u201d duty<\/li>\n<li>Develop \/follow working methods in his field: defines procedures and ensures that they are implemented<\/li>\n<li>Ensures proper planning of work and resources with methods and execution of tasks as assigned in CMMS Or from Mechanical Maintenance Manager and close out same in SAP<\/li>\n<li>Supervises the missions and objectives of team assigned to him and carries out their performance reviews, responsible for the quality of the work done at site and motivates his personnel<\/li>\n<li>Ensures respect of safety rules and regulation by the subordinates at work areas<\/li>\n<li>Review with Planners weekly, monthly and shut down maintenance task according to the production needs.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and review \/prepare the spare parts list with the planner 2<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the availability and management of tools required for daily execution of Task as per departmental tools procedure.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the documentation and filing of all Permits, Assessments and Audit related files for tracking and performance indicators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Dimensions<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>List of Direct Reports:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3rd party vendors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Interfaces, Stakeholders and Relationships:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Methods department for preparation,<\/li>\n<li>Planning and generation of work orders<\/li>\n<li>Third party contractors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MTBF<\/li>\n<li>NAI<\/li>\n<li>OEE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Profile Required<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Educational Background &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND \/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years hands-on experience in a process industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific Work Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pure and in-depth understanding of mechanics of machines.<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy in troubleshooting and correction in hydraulic systems.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent Engineering drawing interpretation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of various applicable safety standards<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Welding conventions and operation<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic conventions.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of relevant plant equipment and flow<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Critical Path Analysis techniques<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Failure Root Cause Analysis techniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leadership &amp; Behavioural Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accurate, precise and meticulous<\/li>\n<li>Reliable\/independent<\/li>\n<li>Credibility and persuasiveness<\/li>\n<li>Good judge of human character and emotions<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal relationship<\/li>\n<li>Disciplined and dogged<\/li>\n<li>Punctuality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Behavioural Competence:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Level Headed and willing to take instructions<\/li>\n<li>Leadership and managerial abilities:<\/li>\n<li>Supervisory skills and people management skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/careers.holcimgroup.com\/lafarge_nigeria\/job\/Opebi-Mechanical-Engineer-Ashaka-LA-100212\/777624402\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lafarge Africa Plc is a member of the Lafarge Holcim Group &#8211; the biggest building and concrete solutions company in the world.
