We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Head of IT<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Ref.:<\/strong> R70972<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos \/ Port Harcourt, Rivers<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Head of IT has responsibility for strategic planning and directing of IT delivery within a well-defined functional area.<\/li>\n<li>They will act as a single point of accountability for projects and delivery streams within the area of responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>On top of this they will also have accountability for overall development of the function, organisation and delivery capabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Key contact for terminal business regarding local demand and ensuring adequate IT service delivery, IT business partnering and IT operations management.<\/li>\n<li>Understand business strategy, business processes &amp; information needs to exploit IT and enable the\u00a0business to deliver against their plans.<\/li>\n<li>Work across the wider Technology &amp; Industrial IT organization to deliver value to the business through\u00a0robust IT services and innovation.<\/li>\n<li>Actively drive IT value through membership on the Terminal Management Team seat.<\/li>\n<li>Proactively challenge and manage key business stakeholders at MD level and below.<\/li>\n<li>Manage terminal demand in a cost constraint environment ensuring business value is\u00a0delivered.<\/li>\n<li>Lead, coach and develop the talent pipeline.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with business leads on new business capabilities\/ platform discovery and roadmap.<\/li>\n<li>Working with terminal\u00a0business stakeholders to agree on an integrated plan for delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, maintain and own IT business plans that reflect the demand and strategic requirements of the business for a terminal.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with the business in strategic discussions and bring the view of technology implications and\u00a0benefits.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure WoW standards are followed at the terminal for IT performance<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring adequate service provisioning through regional and global service delivery teams.<\/li>\n<li>Manage terminal Tech team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accountable for terminal IT operations excellence.<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for local IT demand and execution delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Accountable to ensure cyber security needs are implemented and maintained in the terminal.<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for all technology and infrastructure at the terminal.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for implementing the right IT initiatives to become a\u00a0world class terminal.<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for budget management for the terminal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We&#8217;re Looking for<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong IT Management experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing and \/ or steering of large-scale technology projects\/programs.<\/li>\n<li>Broad experience with technology solutions and services, across the IT infrastructure, application and automation space.<\/li>\n<li>Second-to-none business ethics.<\/li>\n<li>4 days per week on site required, with 1 day from home in base location.<\/li>\n<li>You will be required to visit non-base location spending at least one week of the month &#8211; whether this be Lagos or Port Harcourt (Onne).<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build credibility and relationships with staff and senior business leaders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maersk.com\/careers\/vacancies\/wd\/Head-of-IT---APM-Terminals-Nigeria_R70972\/jt-head-of-it-apm-terminals-nigeria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>APM Terminals is the global terminal operating arm of the A.P.
