\/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Department\/Unit:<\/strong> Internal Control &amp; Audit<br \/>\n<strong>Reports To:<\/strong> Head, Internal Audit<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Internal Audit Officer is responsible for conducting independent and objective evaluations of an organization&#8217;s internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices.<\/li>\n<li>They assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of internal operations, identify areas of improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance control systems and mitigate risks.<\/li>\n<li>The Internal Audit Officer works closely with management and staff to promote transparency, accountability, and good governance within the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Functions<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Conduct internal audits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan and execute comprehensive internal audit programs to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Review and analyze financial statements, operational data, and other relevant documentation to assess the reliability and accuracy of information.<\/li>\n<li>Identify areas of potential risk, control deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Perform testing and verification procedures to validate the adequacy of internal controls and compliance with established policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Risk assessment and management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assess and prioritize risks within the organization, considering both financial and non-financial aspects.<\/li>\n<li>Develop risk management strategies and provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor risk mitigation activities and evaluate their effectiveness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compliance Monitoring:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.<\/li>\n<li>Review and assess the organization&#8217;s adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting and Communication:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare clear and concise audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate audit results to management and relevant stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with management to implement recommendations and monitor progress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Process Improvement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness, and internal controls.<\/li>\n<li>Provide guidance and support to management in implementing process enhancements.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct follow-up audits to assess the implementation and effectiveness of recommended improvements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Professional Development and Knowledge Sharing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends in internal auditing.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in training programs, seminars, and professional networks to enhance skills and knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal audit function.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Indicators \/ Measurement Reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Educational Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc Degree (minimum of 2.2)<\/li>\n<li>Professional qualification will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 years and above in similar position preferably financial service (PFA
