We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Back End Developer (Node)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As a Backend Engineer (NestJS) at 500Chow, you will be a key player in developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our food tech platform.<\/li>\n<li>You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to create scalable and efficient APIs, services, and databases that support our applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using NestJS, TypeScript, and other relevant technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features and functionality, ensuring seamless integration with the frontend.<\/li>\n<li>Optimize and scale backend systems to handle increasing traffic and demand, while maintaining high performance and reliability.<\/li>\n<li>Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following industry best practices and coding standards.<\/li>\n<li>Implement and maintain data storage solutions, such as databases and caching mechanisms, to support application data needs.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the security and integrity of user data and implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy and monitor backend services in production environments.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and system issues, implementing solutions to enhance system efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for technology stack improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with expertise in NestJS.<\/li>\n<li>Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js for backend development.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with databases, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of microservices architecture and related patterns.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as JWT and OAuth.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong teamwork and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in an Agile development environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nice to Have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with serverless computing and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in the food tech or e-commerce industry.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of GraphQL for API development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:People@500chow.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People@500chow.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>500Chow is a leading food tech restaurant chain on a mission to create the best food brand in Africa.
