We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Commercial Analyst<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Job Garde:<\/strong> F<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose \/ Objectives\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To support the optimization of commercial performance through analysis, tracking and reporting of contract, customer, and market data in addition to modelling of new business opportunities for timely decision making<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and issue monthly invoices to gas customers based on contractual terms.<\/li>\n<li>Collate and provide revenue, collections and sales information for management reporting cycles \u2013 weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually.<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintain gas accounting database for all customers with gas delivered volumes, shortfall volumes etc.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and organized datasets, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and security.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct research on market conditions, competitor analysis, industry trends, and regulatory changes to provide up-to-date information for decision-making purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct economic analysis on the viability of new opportunities: NPV, IRR, sensitivity analysis etc to provide internal justification and facilitate commercial negotiations.<\/li>\n<li>Update the corporate model to reflect value created by newly executed agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to other team members on\u00a0transactions requiring data collection, analysis, and documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Regular interaction with other departments including finance, operations, engineering and technical.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the coordination and development of short and long-term corporate business plans and budgets including the definition of business planning assumptions and guidelines in conjunction with Group Finance.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct detailed review and analysis of performance i.e., actual spend to budget, month-to-date and year to-date analyses, variance analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and report business performance\u00a0against targets\/KPIs\u00a0and proffer relevant mitigation\/action steps.<\/li>\n<li>Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to gas, power and renewables\u00a0operations\u00a0including sales, pricing, market trends, and customer behavior, to identify patterns, trends, and potential opportunities for business improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations based on analytical findings to effectively communicate key insights and recommendations to stakeholders\u00a0including management, the commercial\u00a0unit, and other relevant departments.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as assigned by the Commercial Manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University Degree in Accounting, Economics or any Finance related discipline (First class academics)<\/li>\n<li>Relevant post-graduate\/professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, MBA etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job &amp; Main Specifications (Education\/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience &amp; Other Required Details):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of three (3) years cognate experience in a similar role with a working knowledge of finance and accounting standards\/principles.<\/li>\n<li>Strong skills in business planning, forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in the use of data analysis tools and techniques such as Excel, SQL and data visualization tools e.g. PowerBI, Tableau etc.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>M&amp;A, Project Finance, Strategy and Planning exposure an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of typical midsized financial and accounting systems, KPI trackers and performance scorecards.<\/li>\n<li>An interest in the energy and resources sector (Oil &amp;
