We are recruiting to fill the position below<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Procurement and Inventory Management Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Victoria Island, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full-Time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are currently sourcing for an experienced procurement officer, responsible for overseeing procurement activities, store operations, and inventory management within the organization.<\/li>\n<li>The role holder develops and implement procurement strategies, source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain supplier relationships.<\/li>\n<li>They also manage store operations, including policy development, staff management, and performance monitoring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Procurement Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify the type, quality and quantity of resources required based on up-to-date and accurate information.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct a rigorous tender, evaluation, and selection process, complying with organizational procedures to select suppliers which best meet the resource requirements of the change initiative and organization.<\/li>\n<li>Agree viable contracts and statements of work, including performance monitoring criteria, in line with organizational requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Formulate, implement, and continuously review procurement policies and procedures in line with the Bank\u2019s business objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement in procurement activities.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and execute procurement activities to ensure timely availability of goods and services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vendor Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish the principles of a vendor agreement, balancing the interests of Polaris Bank and the vendor.<\/li>\n<li>Broaden the scope of existing agreements with vendors to increase the business benefit to both parties.<\/li>\n<li>Revise and approve contracts with major vendors to provide renovations, acquisition of specialized products or services etc.<\/li>\n<li>Very vast in managing most vendors and its resource personnel as regards vendor management and vendor negotiations.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor vendor performance and compliance with service level agreements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vendor Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement inventory management best practices to ensure optimal stock levels.<\/li>\n<li>Minimize excess inventory and reduce carrying costs while preventing stockouts.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and mitigate discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Implement a robust inventory tracking system to monitor stock levels, reorder points, and lead times.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast inventory requirements accurately, improving supply-demand alignment.<\/li>\n<li>Implement safety stock calculations to mitigate the risk of stock outs during unforeseen demand spikes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quality Assurance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure the procurement of high-quality goods and services that meet the bank\u2019s standards.<\/li>\n<li>Develop quality control measures to verify the quality of procured items.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with stakeholders to define quality requirements and specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Streamline procurement processes to reduce cycle times and enhance efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Implement technology solutions to automate procurement workflows and improve tracking.<\/li>\n<li>Continuously review and refine procurement processes to eliminate bottlenecks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Protocols &amp; Logistics Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop delivery plans to optimize the movement of goods and materials throughout different business and operations units.<\/li>\n<li>Implement supply chain management system to support the movement of equipment, tools, and materials across different locations.<\/li>\n<li>Source, select and appoint capable logistics vendors for ensuring secure, quick, and flawless order processing.<\/li>\n<li>Apply proper knowledge of workplace ergonomics to design a safe, effective, and efficient working environment for the bank.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a safe environment for customers and employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fleet Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).<\/li>\n<li>Accurately determine budgets that will control transport costs.<\/li>\n<li>Work out the best economic point of replacement for a vehicle.<\/li>\n<li>Understand and applies the principles behind calculating the best economic point of replacement for a vehicle.<\/li>\n<li>Manage maintenance activities and the personnel responsible for them.<\/li>\n<li>Safely, effectively, and efficiently manage the distribution and delivery of vehicle spare parts supplies.<\/li>\n<li>Raise awareness about transport issues and analyze log sheet data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fleet Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare specifications of outsourcing travel related services including Air Travel and Ticketing Agency services, Car Hire services, Transfers and Taxi services.<\/li>\n<li>Handle coordination with travel agents and provides briefings on the formalities and procedures of their destination.<\/li>\n<li>Identify, establish, and communicate effective logistical procedures to be used in protocol and logistics operations, ensuring all employees are aware and follow<\/li>\n<li>statutory guidelines and Bank\u2019s procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fleet Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement office management strategies that align with the bank\u2019s values and goals.<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain office databases and records.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Manage budgets, oversee procurement, inventory management, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Provide training and guidance to other employees on office management best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement office policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>3 \u2013 10 years of cognate experience in a related role<\/li>\n<li>Additional academic qualification is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant professional qualification is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/polarisplus-adhoc.polarisbanklimited.com\/eip\/staffOnboarding\/form.php?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Polaris Bank was established by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on September 21, 2018 to offer commercial banking services to the Nigerian public.
