We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Account Executive<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Asaba, Delta<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type<\/strong>: Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer, Payables to coordinate the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments when due.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the validity of all supplier invoices before authorization for payment and appropriate reconciliation of supplier accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the account payables function in Metwest Steel Limited \u2019s corporate Head Office.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and maintain account payable performance metrics, service relationships and communications across departments in Steel Industry.<\/li>\n<li>Provide appropriate responses to suppliers\u2019 queries\/ issues and escalate unresolved issues to the Head, Head Office Accounting, as required.<\/li>\n<li>Perform reconciliation of suppliers\u2019 sub-ledger accounts to the general ledger on a monthly basis.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend updates to existing invoice processing policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of all invoices received from suppliers\/ vendors.<\/li>\n<li>Review staff advance requests and ensure requisitions are duly authorized by relevant department\/ unit heads.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of invoices and staff advance\/ retirement documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare periodic activity reports for the attention of the Head, Head Office Accounting including information on outstanding payments to suppliers, approved invoices, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Review supplier invoices and supporting documents against the invoice processing checklist in order to establish completeness and validity of details.<\/li>\n<li>Match supplier invoices to purchase orders prior to processing to ensure consistency and identify errors\/discrepancies\/irregularities for prompt resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain ageing report of debt and outstanding payments to suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head, Head Office Accounting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree or its equivalent in Accounting or a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Professional certification from a recognized body (e.g. ICAN, ACCA) will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>1 to 3 years related job experience.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge and understanding of IFRS, finance best practices and other applicable accounting standards.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of accounting packages and systems, including ERM.<\/li>\n<li>Sound business acumen.<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>High ethical standards and integrity.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV and Application Interest to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:blessing@metwest.ng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blessing@metwest.ng<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:olalekan@metwest.ng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">olalekan@metwest.ng<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:stella@metwest.ng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stella@metwest.ng<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>31st October, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Metwest Steel Limited is a conglomerate, operating in Nigeria\u2019s key industry verticals including Manufacturing, Mining, Construction, Transportation, Power and Alternative Energy.
