We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Health Safety Environment Supervisor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Ogun<br \/>\n<strong>Job type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs and initiatives to ensure a safe and compliant working environment within Nigerian Foundries Limited.<\/li>\n<li>This position plays a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Safety and Environmental Compliance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Develop, update, and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Conduct regular safety and environmental audits and inspections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Incident Prevention and Response:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Proactively identify and address potential safety and environmental hazards.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent their recurrence.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Coordinate emergency response plans and drills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Training and Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees, contractors, and visitors.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Promote awareness of safe work practices and environmental stewardship.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Maintain records of training and compliance activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Risk Assessment and Mitigation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Conduct risk assessments to identify potential workplace hazards.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Collaborate with department heads to implement measures for risk reduction.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Waste Management and Environmental Impact:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Monitor and reduce the environmental impact of operations.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Implement strategies to minimize waste and promote recycling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Safety Reporting and Documentation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Prepare and submit safety and environmental reports to regulatory agencies as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>HSE Committee Participation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with the HSE committee to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Engage with employees and management to gather input on HSE issues and initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety).<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant certifications in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 14001).<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in HSE management, preferably in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial setting.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of local, national, and international safety and environmental regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with risk assessment and management tools.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV and Cover Letters to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@nigerianfoundries.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recruitment@nigerianfoundries.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using &#8220;HSE Supervisor Application&#8221; as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nigerian Foundries Group is a 53-year old reverse engineering group of companies that offers tailor-made products and solutions to the West African Industries.
