We are compliant with OCIMF guidelines, IMO regulations, and MARPOL Annex I for Ship-to-Ship operations. We are operational offshore Nigeria, Ghana, Lome, Angola, as well as Cameroon. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos Island, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Accountant will assist the Head of Accounts to prepare financial reports to track the organization\u2019s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties \/ Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.<\/li>\n<li>Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.<\/li>\n<li>Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains the general ledger.<\/li>\n<li>Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.<\/li>\n<li>Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits and addresses inquiries from banks.<\/li>\n<li>Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.<\/li>\n<li>Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Performs other related duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Accounting.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three years of accounting experience is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills \/ Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.<\/li>\n<li>Highly proficient with accounting software.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:afss-recruitment@outlook.com\">afss-recruitment@outlook.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>20th November, 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Atlantic Fenders &amp; Support Services is a Maritime company operating in the Oil &amp; Gas servicing sector of Nigeria and West Africa.
