In West Africa, 40-85% of youth, more than 50 million, are either unemployed or underemployed. Meanwhile, job creation in the region is on the rise. The disconnect between work-ready youth and the employment market must be bridged. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the management, operations and success of the assigned store<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the store is operated in line with the Company\u2019s culture, policies and standard operating procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the store in order and clean.<\/li>\n<li>Take care of a sufficient inventory according to the company\u00b4s order system and inventory policy (no missing items, no excessive stock, fresh products).<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all customers are approached in a friendly way.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure as little shrinkage as possible.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the personnel in the most efficient way.<\/li>\n<li>In order to stay ahead of competition, it is required to apply the principle of economy the maximum extent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific Decisions and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Store Supervisor performs all tasks of his Assistants (cleaning, unloading of pallets, working at the checkout etc).<\/li>\n<li>Makes sure that all reports, cash and receipts are correct and complete.<\/li>\n<li>Makes sure all cashiers are well trained.<\/li>\n<li>Plans the schedule of his team including the holiday plans<\/li>\n<li>Plans the breaks of the staff.<\/li>\n<li>Suggests potential cashiers as Store Supervisor or Store Supervisor\u2019s Deputies.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the final calculation and complete documentation at the end of the shift of each cashier.<\/li>\n<li>Is in charge of arranging correct money transfers to the bank.<\/li>\n<li>Is in charge of all cancellations of total receipt, complaints as well as returns from customers. If he judges that a customer complaint is suspicious or unjustified he reports the case to the Area Manager for decision.<\/li>\n<li>Checks the procedure at the check out<\/li>\n<li>Checks the deliveries from the Warehouse and direct suppliers and reports any delivery mistakes.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for all books, reports and forms in the store.<\/li>\n<li>Decides on orders and order quantities<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for correct counting in case of physical inventories.<\/li>\n<li>Trains personnel for other stores in case required.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for 100 % price label accuracy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of HND \/ B.Sc Degree<\/li>\n<li>4 years relevant work experience<\/li>\n<li>Physically fit to stand for hours and lift heavy items<\/li>\n<li>Lives within 30-45 minutes commute to the location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jobs@waveacademies.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>jobs@waveacademies.org<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>West African Vocational Education (WAVE) is solving what is arguably the biggest challenge on the continent: youth unemployment.
