Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CrusaderSterling Pensions Limited, one of the leading Pension Fund Administrators (PFA) in Nigeria is\u00a0recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Legal Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Department\/Unit:<\/strong>\u00a0Company Secretariat\/Legal Unit<br \/>\n<strong>Reports To<\/strong>:\u00a0Company Secretary\/Legal Adviser<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type<\/strong>: Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Senior Legal Officer is responsible for advising on legal matters, commercial contracts and agreements, as may be directed by the Company Secretary\/Legal Adviser.<\/li>\n<li>The Legal Officer ensures that the Company complies with the statutory and corporate governance practices and guidelines as observed in the Pension industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Educational Qualification \/\u00a0Work Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates should possess an LLB,\u00a0BL,\u00a0ICSAN<\/li>\n<li>A Master&#8217;s degree will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>4-6 years experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skill\/ Competency Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong Knowledge of Corporate Law;<\/li>\n<li>Commitment and Enthusiasm in the delivery of the Company\u2019s objective;<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of general and specific Company and commercial law;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under minimal supervision;<\/li>\n<li>Good language and legal writing skills.<\/li>\n<li>A practical approach to work.<\/li>\n<li>An ability to take initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Discretion when handling confidential information.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a diplomatic approach towards issues.<\/li>\n<li>Confidence to provide support to high-profile company staff and board members.<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.<\/li>\n<li>Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Indicators\/ Measurement Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Draft and \/or review legal letters, contracts, agreements, memorandum of understanding, non-disclosure agreements &amp; monitor legal obligations under the agreement to ensure compliance.<\/li>\n<li>To develop legal precedents in line with the legal regulatory and corporate environment.<\/li>\n<li>To maintain a database of the status of all Court matters pending in Court, all claims against the Company, letters written by contributors or clients solicitors in respect of any claims against the Company.<\/li>\n<li>To attend court cases by or against the Company and render the order of proceedings arising therefrom.<\/li>\n<li>To handle all information exposed to at the Legal and Company Secretariat unit with the highest standard of professionalism and confidentiality.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Company Secretary in the filing of statutory legal returns at CAC and Corporate Governance Report with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria within the regulatory timeline.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant legal requirements, particularly under the Company &amp; Allied Matters Act 2020 and the Pension Reform Act 2014.<\/li>\n<li>Taking and Writing of Minutes as may be directed by the CS\/LA.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor all legal affairs in the legal and Company Secretariat unit and monitor all regulatory changes as it affects the Pension Industry and the legal department.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor all legal affairs in the legal and Company Secretariat unit and monitor all regulatory changes as it affects the Pension Industry and the legal department.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct investigations, statistics\/documentary research locate and develop case-relevant information.<\/li>\n<li>Research and prepare legal opinions on various matters including claims against the Company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Internal Liaison:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All Departments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>External Liaison:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>External Solicitors and Regulatory Institutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CVs with &#8220;Legal Officer&#8221;
