We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Lawyer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Volunteer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The volunteer lawyer will play a crucial role in supporting the legal needs ofour company. The position involves providing legal guidance, advice, and representation as required. The lawyer will work closely with the organization&#8217;s team to ensure legal compliance and contribute to the achievement of the NGO&#8217;s objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Legal Counsel: Provide legal advice on a range of issues relevant to the NGO&#8217;s operations.<\/li>\n<li>Contract Review: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements on behalf of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Compliance: Ensure that the NGO in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Representation: Represent the organization in legal matters, hearings, and other proceedings as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational policies.<\/li>\n<li>Training: Provide legal training and guidance to staff members on legal matters affecting the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Risk Management: Identify legal risks and propose appropriate measures to mitigate them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Law Degree from an accredited law school.<\/li>\n<li>3 years work experience.<\/li>\n<li>Admitted to the bar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Legal Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.<\/li>\n<li>Time Management: Effective time management and organizational skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in legal practice, preferably in areas relevant to the NGO sector.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and their legal requirements is an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment to the mission and values of the NGO.<\/li>\n<li>Availability to dedicate a specified number of hours per week or month.<\/li>\n<li>Professional liability insurance (if applicable).<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to undergo any background checks required by the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Salary: N20,000 monthly.<\/li>\n<li>This is a volunteer position, and no financial compensation will be provided.
