We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Instrument (Paco) Engineering Support Services<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Soku, Rivers<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Contract<br \/>\n<strong>Start Date:<\/strong> 1st February 2024<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Troubleshooting of safety critical equipment and control\/safeguarding system.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the production staff in maintaining facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the maintenance team to cope with high number of activities to sustain asset integrity\/equipment availability.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with HSE practises and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Assist to ensure Technical Integrity and safe operation of new process &amp; utility system to achieve the facility\u2019s objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Identify any area of new facilities requiring Change Control and document the change proposal.<\/li>\n<li>Provide specification for critical spare\/or replacement with vendor details (e.g. Hard disc for compressor control, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Review operating\/maintenance procedure under current reality and propose changes.<\/li>\n<li>Develop (Maintenance Job Routines) MJRs\/maintenance procedures and work packs.<\/li>\n<li>Identify vendor support requirement for equipment maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support in repairing outstanding mal-functioning equipment (e.g. crude transfer pumps etc)<\/li>\n<li>Liaison with OEMs for troubleshooting, spare parts, field technical supports etc.<\/li>\n<li>Support the maintenance (operation) team in all troubleshooting exercises.<\/li>\n<li>Carryout maintenance routine activities in line with company standards, local and international standards.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in equipment failure RCA (Root Cause Analysis), investigation and improvement initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Participation in MFI (Management Facility Inspections) and HSE meetings<\/li>\n<li>Closeout personal MFI actions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Cycle:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The work location is Swamp-field based (Soku, Rivers State) accessible via the Helicopter.<\/li>\n<li>The job activity period is daily on 12-hour (7am to7pm) routine over a 14-day period.<\/li>\n<li>The successful candidate will manage own absences with his\/her contractor for suitably qualified covers.<\/li>\n<li>The successful candidate is expected to be Port Harcourt-based<\/li>\n<li>There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for trainings and official assignments.<\/li>\n<li>Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Academics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OND or HND in Mechanical or Instrumentation &amp; Controls Automation Engineering or any other relevant discipline.<\/li>\n<li>A certificate from School of Basic Instrumentation will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Age:\u00a0&lt; 45 years.<\/li>\n<li>Gender: Male\/Female<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in SPDC operation as a PACO technician<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess competence No.1 plus at least one of Nos. 2 \u2013 5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>General instrumentation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to read drawings &#8211; PEFS, PSFS, C&amp;E, FLD, loop diagrams, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of process instrumentation &#8211; major process parameters measured, types of sensors\/instruments, principles of measurement, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of loop components &#8211;\u00a0IS barriers, surge protectors, FISCO, I\/O modules<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of communication protocols &#8211; HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Modbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, etc<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of Fire &amp; Gas devices &#8211; different types of detectors, principles of operation, Logic Solvers, Output Devices, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of operation and maintenance of valves &#8211; control valves, SDVs, BDVs, solenoid valves, Actuators, positioners, position transmitters, air regulators, different types of manual valves, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in calibration of switches and transmitters (pressure, differential pressure, level, temperature, flow, and absolute pressure)<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in maintenance of valves (control valves, ESDVs, MOVs, manual valves), positioners, I\/P converters<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in the use of handheld communication devices (Field Communicator, Interrogator, Fieldmate, NI Fieldbus Communicator, FB Tool, Oscilloscope, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yokogawa DCS\/SIS engineering and maintenance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Installation and configuration of Foundation Fieldbus devices using the Engineering Workstation (EWS)<\/li>\n<li>Engineering of systems using the SIS EWS<\/li>\n<li>Installation and configuration of HART devices<\/li>\n<li>Engineering of CentumVP software, including navigation and editing of function blocks<\/li>\n<li>Use of Yokogawa AMS to manage field devices<\/li>\n<li>Navigation, configuration, and logic modification of ProSafe safety systems using ProSafe-PLC 4-mation &amp; ProSafe-RS Workbench<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work on PraSafe SLS \u2013 Logic navigation using FLD, sound knowledge of SLS modules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Allen Bradley Systems engineering and maintenance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sound knowledge (including engineering and maintenance) of ControlLogix, RSLogix5000, RSLogix500<\/li>\n<li>HMI engineering, PanelView, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Connection and use of laptop for PLC engineering<\/li>\n<li>Installation and configuration of field devices<\/li>\n<li>Engineering and maintenance of Allen Bradley PLCs using RSLogix5000, RSLogix500, RSFieldbus and FactoryTalk software<\/li>\n<li>Installation and configuration of PLCs, I\/O modules, and other associated components<\/li>\n<li>Programming techniques, program upload\/download to PLCs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SMAR Systems Engineering and Maintenance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Installation and configuration of Foundation Fieldbus devices<\/li>\n<li>Engineering of System 302 software, including navigation, editing of function blocks<\/li>\n<li>Installation and configuration of PLCs, I\/O modules and other associated components<\/li>\n<li>Programming techniques, program upload\/download to PLCs<\/li>\n<li>System302 HMI engineering, ProccessView, etc<\/li>\n<li>Connection and use of laptop for PLC engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>DeltaV DCS Engineering and Maintenance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Installation and configuration of Foundation Fieldbus devices using EWS<\/li>\n<li>Engineering of DeltaV software, including navigation and editing of function blocks<\/li>\n<li>Installation and configuration of DCS controllers and I\/O modules<\/li>\n<li>HMI graphics modification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soft Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(Added advantage)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform basic computer-related activities<\/li>\n<li>Good organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility and adaptability.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and performs under minimal supervision<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of worksite hazard mgt and permit to work systems<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task effectively<\/li>\n<li>Communication &amp;
