Due to the expansion of our operations in Nigeria, we are seeking for highly qualified, pro-active, fast learning, flexible, well organized and motivated resources with an excellent track record to reinforce our team.<\/p>\n<div><strong>Job Title: \u00a0Electrical Designer (Ref: EDR)<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Port Harcourt\/Remote Sites<\/div>\n<div><strong>Reporting to:\u00a0<\/strong>Electrical Specialist Leader\/ Electrical Discipline Lead<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare material take off and bill of quantities for cost and erection works estimated during bidding stage,<\/li>\n<li>Review of client\u2019s technical documentation and requirements during bidding stage &amp; Project execution<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates and controls electrical engineering subcontracted activities &amp; documents.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares technical documentation (specification, data sheets and inspection data sheets) for electrical bulk materials<\/li>\n<li>Prepares the Material Requisition (PR), the technical bid evaluations and provides technical support to procurement department in purchasing activities<\/li>\n<li>Performs the follow up of electrical bulk materials and check I review of Vendors technical documentation<\/li>\n<li>Involvement in preparation of electrical load list, power cables sizing, electrical load balance electrical network (grounding, lighting, cathode protection, electric tracing, connection boxes) materials selection and typical installation details<\/li>\n<li>Develops electrical network layout documentation (grounding, lighting, cathodic protection, electric tracing, connection boxes)<\/li>\n<li>Implements detail engineering activities (positioning, layouts, cable routings, cable raceways, cable schedules, supports&#8230;).<\/li>\n<li>Prepare material materials take off (MTO) and bill of quantities (BOQ) for electrical system installation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Qualification and Experience:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years of cognate experience in Electrical Engineering Design<\/li>\n<li>University degree in Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of Engineering standard code &amp; Regulations<\/li>\n<li>Good computer skills: proficient in MS office suite AutoCAD,\u00a0PDS, PDMS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Application Closing Date:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>14th November, 2012<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>How To Apply:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Qualified applicants should send their resume to: \u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment.scnl@saipem.com\">recruitment.scnl@saipem.com<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Quoting the vacancy reference as the email subject.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Only short listed persons will be contacted for Interviews<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saipem Contracting Nigerian Limited (SCNL) is a subsidiary of SAIPEM S.P.A, a global leader in Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Project Management in the Energy sector.
