We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Physician<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Announcement Number:<\/strong> Lagos-2024-013<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Series\/Grade:<\/strong> LE &#8211; 0505 12<br \/>\n<strong>Work Schedule:<\/strong> Full-time &#8211; 40 Hours per week<br \/>\n<strong>Promotion Potential:<\/strong> LE-NA<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hiring Path: Open to the public<\/li>\n<li>Who May Apply\/Clarification From the Agency: This position is open to:<\/li>\n<li>All Interested Applicants \/ All Sources<\/li>\n<li>For USEFM &#8211; FP grade is FP 3 ($80,787.00).\u00a0 Actual FP salary authorized by Washington D.C.<\/li>\n<li>Security Clearance Required: Public Trust &#8211; Background Investigation<\/li>\n<li>Appointment Type: Permanent<\/li>\n<li>Appointment Type Details: Indefinite subject to successful completion of probationary period<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The physician in this position is expected to provide primary urgent and emergency outpatient medical care services to all eligible American employees and their family members.<\/li>\n<li>Additionally, the incumbent will provide emergency and occupational health services to all employees of the Mission. Services will be provided through direct patient\u00a0evaluation, examination, and treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The physician in this position is expected to provide primary urgent and emergency outpatient medical care services to all eligible American employees and their family members.<\/li>\n<li>The Front Office and Management Officer will look to this position to play a vital role in creating a healthier workplace, writing policies and providing advice on how to improve the health condition and awareness of the entire mission.<\/li>\n<li>Additionally, the incumbent will provide emergency and occupational health services to all employees of the Mission. Services will be provided through direct patient evaluation, examination, and treatment.<\/li>\n<li>The LE Staff physician is responsible for determining when\u00a0hospitalization\/medical evacuation is required and arranging all appropriate aspects of the patient&#8217;s care.<\/li>\n<li>The LE Staff physician will participate in after-hours call responsibilities with other health unit team members. The job holder has significant impact on the entire embassy customer base in a variety of levels and fashions, including decisions on employees\u2019 abilities to work, continued ability to be posted in their overseas assignment based on medical conditions that require ongoing management, and Medevac decisions and implications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School and completion of appropriate post-graduate internship\/residency\/or fellowship is required.
