Apart from power generation and distribution, we can also provide EPC and maintenance services for substations, transmission line and pressure reducing &amp; measuring stations. On 8th April 2016, Paras Energy became the 27th Company to supply power to National Grid in Nigeria and the first privately owned company to supply power under a bilateral agreement to their customers. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Health &amp; Safety Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Ogijo, Ogun<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Policy Development:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, implement, and update health and safety policies and procedures to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate policies and procedures to employees, ensuring understanding and compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Risk Assessment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze accident and incident data to identify trends and areas for improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Training and Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees at all levels.<\/li>\n<li>Keep abreast of industry best practices and changes in regulations to ensure training content is up-to-date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emergency Preparedness:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain emergency response plans.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate drills and exercises to ensure employees are prepared for emergencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regulatory Compliance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay current with health and safety legislation and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the organization&#8217;s compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Investigations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct investigations into accidents, near misses, and other safety-related incidents.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and maintain accurate records of investigations and corrective actions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Safety Culture Promotion:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives and programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Collaboration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and implement improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND \/ Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role.<\/li>\n<li>Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:careers@Parasenergy.com\">careers@Parasenergy.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title and Location as the subject of the mail<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0 <\/strong>31st March, 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paras Energy was incorporated in the year 2002.
