Leveraging proprietary datasets, Migo builds ML algorithms to assess credit risk, and then offers credit lines to the companies\u2019 customers. This credit line can be used to make purchases from a merchant or to withdraw cash without the need for point-of-sale hardware or plastic cards. Because of our proprietary data and innovative technical solutions, Migo is able to extend credit to underbanked customers who are not typically covered by credit bureaus. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type<\/strong>: Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you will do?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As the Finance Manager at Migo, you will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.<\/li>\n<li>You will also provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and play a key role in driving financial efficiency and profitability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your responsibilities will be to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead technical accounting; financial reporting; treasury management, and accounts payable functions<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, year-end financials in compliance with IFRS reporting standards<\/li>\n<li>Interface with third party accounting and tax advisory<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the posting, reconcilement, and maintenance of general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable and expense management<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the organization&#8217;s financial health<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to accounting and financial planning<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and timely completion of audits.<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Work with risk and data science teams on our financials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requiremnts<\/strong><br \/>\nWe&#8217;re looking for someone who has:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or Advanced Degree preferred.<\/li>\n<li>ACA \/ ACCA \/ CIMA qualified<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience (3+ years) in financial management roles, with a track record of success in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, accounting software, forecasting, and analysis tools.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why Should You Work At Migo?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When you come to work at Migo, you can be assured that your work will be meaningful.
