In over 30 countries, Tdh protects children against exploitation, and violence, improves children\u2019s and their mother\u2019s health, and provides emergency psychological and material support in humanitarian crises. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Education Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Locations:\u00a0<\/strong>Bama &amp; Banki, Borno<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Description of the Position<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reporting to the Education Supervisor, under the overall supervision of the Child Protection and Education in Emergencies Program Manager, the Education Officer is responsible to support the development and implementation of the Education activities in Tdh project locations.<\/li>\n<li>This position will take responsibility for planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of Tdh\u2019s education programme to improve children\u2019s learning outcomes (literacy, Numeracy and skills acquisition) through both formal and non-formal education activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities &amp; Tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical support in the areas of education in emergencies to teachers, facilitators, volunteers and community members engaged in the project.<\/li>\n<li>Closely collaborate with all the concerned stakeholders to ensure that programme goals are achieved and sustained.<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in education-related activities and meetings and seek active collaboration with other players working in the education sector.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and communicate project gaps, challenges and vulnerabilities to the line manager on a timely basis and suggest possible solutions to the problems.<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in the setup of clear monitoring and evaluation plan (including the development and implementation of tools)<\/li>\n<li>Feed the project monitoring tools with the highest level of accuracy in close coordination with the project monitoring team.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and strengthen School Based Management Committees including training and community engagements.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to the work plan and ensure the activities are fully implemented as per the national\/international and North-east Nigeria Education Sector guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure close supervision and support of field-based education activities<\/li>\n<li>Support in the establishment of CPiE component within the Education activities<\/li>\n<li>Support set up of clear referral pathways between Education and CP teams in close collaboration with PSS and Case Work Officers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coordination &amp; Representation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise with relevant government authorities, State Universal Basic Education Board, Camp Coordination and Camp Management and relevant humanitarian actors for the proper coordination and implementation of the project.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and final reports based on project targets and results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Protection:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote inclusion and equal access to education for every child, paying particular attention to the most vulnerable and at-risk children;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain strict confidentiality regarding information and data of beneficiaries at all times;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Tdh Child Safeguarding Policy and Child Protection Minimum Standards are mainstreamed through all the programmatic activities;<\/li>\n<li>Report serious cases of abuse committed against children to the Child Protection Project Manager.
