We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Mechanical Engineer &#8211; Gas based Combined Cycle Power Project<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Contract<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting:<\/strong> Lead Engineer \/ Engineering Manager Project Head (CPP)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position will be responsible for Design and Engineering work, planning and overseeing installation, Testing and Commissioning of all Mechanical power equipment or systems related to Combined Cycle Power plant under general supervision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Mechanical system in CCCP shall consist of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gas Turbines and auxiliaries<\/li>\n<li>Heat Recovery Steam Generators\/Boilers<\/li>\n<li>Steam Turbines and auxiliaries<\/li>\n<li>Other Power plant Balance of plant systems like Cooling towers, Water Treatment System, Air compressors, Feed water system, Deaerator, Condenser, Pumps, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Other Power plant support systems consisting of Rotating and Static equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in Design &amp; Engineering, Engineering review and Comments, Coordination during Installation, Testing and Commissioning systems of Combined Cycle Power plant.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting all the phases of project cycle from Concept, Design, and engineering, overseeing the testing and commissioning of the mechanical systems and components of complete Combined Cycle Power plant.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that plant design complies with the relevant procedures, standards, and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Review of technical proposals from EPC contractors, manufacturers \/ suppliers and preparation of evaluation reports forall procurement related to CCPP plants.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare progress reports, quality reports in coordination with team and follow up.<\/li>\n<li>Interact and communicate with all internal team members, and contractors toensure smooth operation.General knowledge of other related interconnected discipline systems.<\/li>\n<li>Performing detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates all activities independently of design process, including attending meetings related to design,progress and coordination with clients and all stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with International codes, Standards and recommended practices for design and selection of Mechanical equipment (ASHRAE, BS \/ EN \/ ASME \/ IS \/ API \/ ASTM)<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with Gas Turbine, HRSG, Combined Cycle Power plants and Steam Turbine Testing codes.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation or review of design drawings and reports, technical specifications, material submittals, method statements and updating of technical specifications from time to time.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation \/ updating of Scope of Work, BoQ, specifications for RFP related to CCPP plants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>8\/10 years\u2019 experience in power plant projects with specific experience with combined cycle gas-based power projects.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Effective oral and written communications and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with the design team in the resolution of project related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Must be self-motivated, results oriented, and be flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and proficiency with Autocade, 3D modeling , plant layout would be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Readiness to travel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary<\/strong><br \/>\nN500,000 &#8211; N1,000,000 \/ month.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@energy-mgt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>careers@energy-mgt.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using &#8220;Mechanical Engineer&#8221; as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sterling Oil Exploration &amp; Energy Production Company Ltd.
