AMEC Nigeria <\/strong>recruits\u00a0Assistance Project Director<\/strong> for\u00a0 their Nigerian office, this full time position is\u00a0to be based in Lagos on 10 hours per day working hours – 6 days a week<\/p>\n

Purpose \/ Role<\/strong>
\n\u2022\u00a0 To assist in providing a single point of contact for AMEC and customer for all activities associated with the MPN Major Integrity Projects.
\n\u2022\u00a0 To assist achieve the contract objectives (the PDP SPDO\u2019s)
\n\u2022\u00a0 To assist develop people and systems.
\n\u2022\u00a0 To assist contribute towards improving the AMEC \u201cimage\u201d in Nigeria<\/p>\n

Key aims and objectives
\n<\/strong>\u2022\u00a0 Ensure customer satisfaction is achieved for the contract.
\n\u2022\u00a0 Achieve expected profit levels yearly and with expected cash flow profile.
\n\u2022\u00a0 Ensure best practice is utilised where ever possible.
\n\u2022\u00a0 Ensure local staff are utilised, trained and developed where possible.
\n\u2022 \u00a0Ensure AMEC are not exposed to unethical work practices.
\n\u2022\u00a0 Ensure AMEC maximise contract potential.
\n\u2022\u00a0 Encourage \u201cRight first Time\u201d service to customer.
\n\u2022\u00a0 Ensure that all work is exercised in such a manner that safety is not compromised.<\/p>\n

Prime responsibilities and duties<\/strong>
\n\u2022\u00a0 Assist develop relationships with all stakeholders (eg MPN, NNPC, Jagal, Netco and all main subcontractors)
\n\u2022\u00a0 Assist ensure each project is efficiently managed and meets it\u2019s own expected objectives.
\n\u2022\u00a0 Assist ensure AMEC systems are available to support the projects.
\n\u2022\u00a0 Assist support and encourage good safety and security practises.
\n\u2022\u00a0 Assist ensure all work is done to the required quality
\n\u2022\u00a0 Assist ensure good and clear communications and reporting is achieved
\n\u2022\u00a0 Assist train and develop personnel
\n\u2022\u00a0 Assist ensure Nigerian Content Directive requirements are achieved.
\n\u2022\u00a0 Assist ensure process are in place for proper Supplier and Subcontractor selection
\n\u2022\u00a0 Assist ensure AMEC is adequately informed of Contract status.<\/p>\n

Qualifications\/Training
\nEssential:
\n<\/strong>\u2022 Bachelors Degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject
\n\u2022 Chartered Engineer and member of appopriate engineering institution<\/p>\n

Experience
\nEssential:
\n<\/strong>\u2022 Ability to manage contractors engineering resources across all disciplines and all aspects of engineering design and construction for all oil and gas projects.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Experienced with sound technical background and wide ranging expertise
\n\u2022 Strong experience in contract amanagement and commercial management
\n\u2022 Experienced in man management techniques, including motivation, and good at team forming and team maintainance
\n\u2022 Good communicator
\n\u2022 Experienced in methods and procedures for quality control, safety, and environmental management
\n\u2022 Good at developing people
\n\u2022 Good at client relationships
\n\u2022 Has vision, can set clear objectives and can set the right strategy to achieve these objectives
\n\u2022 Competent understanding of personnel issues<\/p>\n

Desirable:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Capable of representing project internally and externally
\n\u2022 Plays a part in the wider Oil & Gas business sector
\n\u2022 Knows AMEC\u2019s systems and procedures
\n\u2022 Knows AMEC people and can network<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>\u2022 Dogged determination
\n\u2022 Works towards the development of subordinates
\n\u2022 Determination to set and achieve objectives and goals
