We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Calabar, Cross River<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Roles<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Under the general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Finance Officer will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support in the training of new employees\/assistants in the accounting department.<\/li>\n<li>Assign financial responsibilities in consultation with the Chief Operating Officer.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct financial evaluations that are timely and constructive.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare corporate financial statements in a timely fashion.<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain financial controls and procedures for MDF.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic audits of budget items, including comparing per diems to actual expenses and other budget-to-actual comparisons.<\/li>\n<li>Provide relevant financial information to the Principal\/CEO<\/li>\n<li>Prepare finance SOPs and applicable documents.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and take responsibility for all financial procedures and records.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain corporate checking accounts and invoices.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the various ledgers, including cash disbursements, cash receipts, accounts payable, month-end payroll summary, accounts receivable summary, and journal entries to adjust the general ledger.<\/li>\n<li>Generate monthly reports, including accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow report, and balance sheet audits.<\/li>\n<li>Performs other related duties as requested by Mediatrix foundation.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Complete and reliable financial information is maintained- conduct budget vs. actuals budget analysis; ensuring appropriate expensing and coding of award costs; analyze Life of Award (LoA) reports for financial monitoring of spend; conduct general ledger reviews, as needed; and determine corrective actions necessary to resolve errors.<\/li>\n<li>Support budget preparation, modification and ensure timely reflection on QuickBooks.<\/li>\n<li>Review and ensure donor reports are coherent, accurate and submitted timely.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update Finance files (electronic and hard copy files)<\/li>\n<li>Use QuickBooks in managing organization financial data.<\/li>\n<li>Review of contractual performance of projects with Project Lead, proactively working to address financial\/compliance issues; escalate risks and issues to line manager when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a donor tracking mechanism to track all grant management performance indicators for effectively monitoring of grant activities to ensure progress and KPIs are met.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct of Compliance review of all donors\u2019 financial reports and proactively flag issues relating to cost recovery, expenditure rate, and value for money.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A cover letter describing the candidate\u2019s desire and motivation to work for MDF and how her\/his qualifications and experience are a good fit for this position.<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English, including three (3) professional references with contact information, phone and email address<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should submit the following document to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:mediatrixfoundation@gmail.com\">mediatrixfoundation@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the Job Title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mediatrix Development Foundation (MDF) is an initiative of Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs Linda Ayade who also sits on the Board as President of the organization which is aimed at improving&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10165,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Mediatrix Development Foundation Ongoing Job Opportunity- Apply Now!
