As a result of business expansion and capacity building, unique career opportunities exist in the organization for highly competent and self-motivated professionals; the company is looking to fill the vacant position:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Financial Controller<\/p>\n<p>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Report To: CFO<\/strong><br \/>\nTo ensure prompt preparation of Monthly Performance Report for Management decision<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinates all activities of the Department<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of Financial Statements<\/li>\n<li>Preparation and consolidation of budgets and long Term plans<\/li>\n<li>Expenditure Control including Budget preparation and Discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of variances against Budgets and KPI<\/li>\n<li>Management Information including periodical(weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual) reports.<\/li>\n<li>Management of Trade and Other debtors<\/li>\n<li>Project Evaluation and Monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Setting Key Performance Indices (KPIs) e.g.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures compliance with Quality System requirements in the department<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of monthly cash flow forecast<\/li>\n<li>Financial responsibility, including actuals and forecasting, of Business Development and Barter products<\/li>\n<li>Provision of revenue recognition advice to the business<\/li>\n<li>Work with the CFO to prepare annual budget and 3 year plan<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of monthly forecast including full responsibility for cost forecasting<\/li>\n<li>Preparation, review and analysis of quarterly health check<\/li>\n<li>Cost base analysis for both Support costs and Brand costs<\/li>\n<li>Client and Agency spend analysis .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First degree in Accounting or related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Professional accounting certification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, or other relevant higher business degree with proven analytical and qualitative accounting\/ finance competencies.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in FMCG treasury funds management and loan syndication<\/li>\n<li>Twelve (12) years cognate experience, of which at least Three (3) years at senior management level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in FMCG industry with, key issues, trends and development.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced financial and accounting knowledge, including indepth understanding of international and local accounting and financial reporting standards.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of foreign exchange operations and regulations, and other relevant regulations \u2013 FMCG industry, income and other tax, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of the local and international banking industry.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to interpret financial statement and apply a broad perspective in summarizing results.<\/li>\n<li>Verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and the ability to influence others<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think strategically and holistically and to appreciate the systematic impact of various policies, issues and solutions<\/li>\n<li>Good at analyzing and resolving complex financial problems,<\/li>\n<li>Competent in the use of computers to enhance work performance,<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated, diligent, and enthusiastic with a strong business orientation<\/li>\n<li>Ability to pay attention to details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date<\/strong><br \/>\n7th May, 2013<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method of Application<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested qualified candidates should send their updated CVs to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@hytng.com\"><strong>careers@hytng.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with the position you are applying for.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HYT Consulting &#8211; Our client is a multinational FMCG and a fast growing producers\/manufacturer of various types of goods.
