Job Title: OASONS NIGERIA LTD:\u00a0Well Engineer<\/p>\n
Due to increased operational requirement and a need for increased performance, Our client the largest Oil and Gas producing company in Nigeria requires Senior Well Engineers AND Well Engineers to join its operations in Nigeria; the position guarantees an excellent reward package for successful Expatriate and Nigerian candidates experienced to perform the following;<\/p>\n
Manage the delivery of assigned HPHT well (or other well) on his\/her rig drilling sequence from Value Challenge to well handover with the objectives of:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Achieving zero safety incidents
\n\u2022 Delivering on promises against:
\n(1) Business plan for schedule,
\n(2) GIP\/Joint Venture budget for cost
\n(3) Well proposal for reserves and production potential
\n\u2022 Raising performance to top quartile
\n\u2022 Safety in design and programming in particular process safety
\n\u2022 Ensure well design is robust to handle relevant well control incidents
\n\u2022 Finalise detailed well design including final well trajectory, accurate casing setting depths, drilling fluids program and cementing program to ensure wells objectives will be met
\n\u2022 Carry out torque drag and hydraulics calculations, design drilling assemblies to verify that the well is within rig capabilities and optimise drilling performance
\n\u2022 Compiles detailed drilling program to achieve business performance objectives (Cost, results and schedule)
\n\u2022 Comply with Policies, standards and procedures, use approved IT tools in developing final design and drilling program
\n\u2022 Identify and implement ideas to improve performance by repeating best composite well times, reducing Non Productive Time, using of new techniques\/technologies and modifying procedures
\n\u2022 Estimates AFE well cost
\n\u2022 Orders equipment and services using SAP
\n\u2022 Monitor time and cost performance
\n\u2022 Compile end of well report<\/p>\n

\nRequired Skills\/Experience: Round 1 certificate and IWCF certification<\/p>\n
Possess highly developed technical skills enhanced by theoretical and practical knowledge of the well delivery process
\nGood analytical, communication and writing skills, with PC fluency and familiarity with drilling engineering software.
\nExcellent proficiency in English language, both in speech and in writing. Proficient in English language, both in speech and in writing.
\nRequired Qualifications: Professional engineer with a university degree or qualification in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
\nValid IWCF certificates
\nMinimum Experience: A minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in well delivery function, commercial and contracting and technology activities
