Our independent expertise strengthens electoral systems and builds local capacity to deliver sustainable solutions. IFES is a reputable International NGO that supports the building of electoral democracies with support from USAID.<\/p>\n<p>IFES recognizes our future leaders in democracy and governance, and works with a large network of universities to provide year-round paid and unpaid internships.<br \/>\nIFES is recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Position: Internship<\/p>\n<p>Location<\/strong>: Abuja<br \/>\nDuration: 1-9 Months<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for assisting the program team research and extract news information for reports.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with event preparation by providing administrative and logistics assistance.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with sorting and distribution of newsletters.<\/li>\n<li>Clerical duties including filing, photocopying, and scanning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors degree in any relevant field.<\/li>\n<li>At least one year working experience (National Youth service will suffice).<\/li>\n<li>Possess initiative, a positive attitude and have strong value for loyalty, respect for confidentiality and discretion, dependability.<\/li>\n<li>Computer proficiency in Microsoft.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date<\/strong><br \/>\n27th June, 2013<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should forward their type written application, current resume, copies of certificates and three references to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto: ifesnigeria@ifes.org\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>ifesnigeria@ifes.org<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Highest consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate strong and proven track record with democracy and governance work.<\/li>\n<li>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) supports citizens right to participate in free and fair elections.
